 I know season two just started, but SO FAR what season do/did you like more? 1 or 2?

All I know for sure is since season 1 ended, alot of notible members have moved on and are not on here anymore. Is FanIQ dying? I hope not...

 OFCOURSE SEASON ONE.
Faniq didntlet me to celebrate my first anniversary at Q in season one.
If Season 2 wants to survive it needs many changes.
Respect thing is not good at all,bucks thing also.I LOVED MY POINTS AND RANKS AND TROPHIES.
In season one there was more motivation to compete.
Many of old members are here just to see it any changes took place or not,we loved the Q the way it was.
Season 1 was better

Season 1 was better, however it was not without its flaws. Respect is OK, I miss the total points/levels/ranking the most. Season 2 is not so bad. I do like the Quick Fantasy and I think the Q Bucks will become more fun as they find new ways to earn them and spend them.

 Season One was better in that there was more competition, and more accolades (not to mention more choices for accolades ... Smart, Funny, etc.).
Season Two is cool because of the Quick Fantasy (even though I suck at it, hardcore) and the Q-Bucks/Gifts. 

Smash the two seasons together, keeping the best of both, and I'm bound to be even more addicted than I am now!  It'd be like internet crack for me.

 I miss the awards and rankings and unlimited accolades of season one. I miss that very much. I do like sending someone a beer or a flower thats cool. I dont play fantasy anything (well except for with Bart) I don't get it. I'm with Janet take the best of both and combine it.

I have come around, i am now content with Season 2. I like quick fantasy and i am fine with respects. I doubt by now they are going to change anything anyway...so no point in dewlling any longer, season 2 it is.

 I still miss being able to give people funnys and smarts.  I wish they would have expanded that, eliminating the PQ and putting disagree and maybe one or two more instead of taking away.  I felt like I got more feedback and therefore more interaction with other members.  I did not care about competition.  I either do well or I do not.  For me it is all about how much time I have.  I do not use any of the new stuff yet because I have not figured out how to.  I just had this site figured out when they changed it and for people like me who have a hard time learning new stuff on the computer is has been a little ruff going into season 2 so far.  Mostly I have just been doing trivia.

 i sure do like some of season 2, the Qbucks and sending things to other members,and the fantasy game,even though i suck at it with a capitol S. season 1 is missed for the accolades funny smart, those are missed, and was i think enjoyed by most of the members......maybe for christmas they could give us someof season 1 for apresent..........

I agree with you on missing the total points, levels, & ranking.  I wish they could add that back, plus give us maybe 10 more respects a day, but change the distinctions back to funny, bold & smart.  I LOVE the Fantasy Challenge, the best change as far as I'm concerned....

 The Quick Fantasy is the one of two reasons I haven't cancelled my account. The only other reason I have stuck around is the friends I have met here. Season 2 sucks. Period. The changes on this site have NOT been for the better. I have absolutely ZERO incentive to not only take quizzes or answer trivia, I also have ZERO incentive to create new quizzes or trivia questions. That used to be one of my favorite things to do here. I have created another account on the "OTHER" site, but that is so that I can keep in touch with former "Q" members who left this site, whether voluntary or otherwise. I used to be so addicted to the "Q" but not anymore. Unfortunately, changes were made and, it's sad to say, this site is nowhere near as fun as it used to be.

 I think the Respects have more meaning to them than the Funny & Smarts because they are limited and it shows that somebody had to of really liked your comment.

I was averaging 3 top comments per day during season one and it started to lose meaning, now it's a special privilege to get that type of honor.

I have my old friends at another site to keep in touch with them on a daily basis, so my internet socializing has expanded to twice the experience and fun.

I'm growing to be fine with Season 2, just wish the participation would increase around here.

 Season two is good but not at all good than Season one....it used to be  more fun on season one than in two...as Nader has said I too don't like these bucks and respects to the extent I liked thumbs ups and my points...

I like Season 2 overall better, the Quick Fantasy and Q Bucks systems I have really enjoyed. I've also enjoyed Trivia and Quizzes just as much as before; I didn't know everyone else seemingly only did it to get points, but I personally did it for sports knowledge and my Sports IQ. Season 1 was better with the overall rankings for all fans here, levels, and still being awarded for contributing on anything that isn't one of your favorite teams.

I would like to tell those in here why now that we have moved to Season 2, that even if everyone isn't happy with it (I've seen it about split or slightly in favor to Season 2 over Season 1 overall in reality), it's not as simple as "Oh, lets just go back to Season One *click*"

I don't know of how many of you that have knowledge in website development, but when you have a website that is as complex as this one; things like HTML, PHP, and SQL are all about what needs to be created, understood, utilized, and then posted "live" for everything to work, down to this red submit button at the bottom of the page. If you think that it's simple for these things to be created - please, do a right click on this page itself in a blank area and choose "View Page Source" and tell me if you can tell exactly what's the different make-up between Seasons 1 & 2.

Techs here have such a difficult job and 99% of users on FanIQ don't even understand exactly it is what they're even doing. That Quick Fantasy system took months to develop and while there are a few that don't like it, or just "don't do" fantasy, it's still something that has/is/will become a huge hit on this site, and it definitely won't be going away anytime soon. Even the change from the Smart/Funny/Bold to Respect and limiting it to 10 per day and 2 per person system is something that takes weeks to be done without issues. It's not as simple as coding everything back to a previous system that Techs didn't even plan on ever using again. There may be adjustments made for the current numbers in the system now, and the changes made from Season 1 to Season 2 were definitely for the better for FanIQ no matter what your opinion on it may be now.

I understand some people just love to be negative at all times, but this is getting pretty ridiculous. Enjoy the site for what it is, a sports site. If sports are boring, check out the locker room for random conversation, nobody on? Learn more about your favorite sports in trivia or quizzes. If you're bored with that, do some prediction polls - the things you can do on FanIQ is nearly endless, why must it always result in complaining on threads like these?

This has nothing to do with any of what I said, but I've been a mod here on FanIQ for a full year now, how do you consider that "new"?

And where did you find your 89%? Going by the 30 people who repeatedly say in the LR that they don't like Season 2? I'll let you know that it doesn't count multiple times if the same person says their disdain.

I'm going off of what all members here say, not those who continually whine and complain in threads like these. There are over 2 million users on FanIQ, and I'm not saying that I've spoken to all or even most of them, but I'm pretty sure I've gotten a larger scope of what members thoughts are than what you have read in these "Season 2" threads.

 I don't mind the Quick Fantasy thing, seeing as I'm undefeated so far.  Yes I even crushed Pat, that was fun!   

However I really miss the social connection that was here before.  It is still not as user friendly to say hi or see who is online.  I thought they were working on a way to take the "top 10" list and make it better when that first went away?  Being in a quick drop down at the top of the page, no matter what page you were on, was user friendly.  Finding out who thought you were funny, that encourged interaction.  I do agree the changes have made it more sports oriented, but season 1 had a much better mix of sports and social and I for one, miss that.

 i have a good memories in season one and its so addicted the first time i visit this site in season one i was hooked up and i miss some of old faces in season one.i was strugling the first time but thanks to good person like NorseHEATHEN HE THOUGHT me how this site runs.

 I have to say its season 1 for the social relevance and season 2 for what its here for ,sports.....
Noted that its hard to make a complex site such as this one, only the human side of it should have been considered,
Kudos to those who have the courage to stay behind and learn newer things (even if they dont like it)
And Hope to see again those who let go and wanted color.
Hoping that sooner than later we could have the best of both worlds

Anybody got any info regarding a possible Season 3?  And what criteria will be used to award All-Star status to season 2 participants?
