Load It Up!

One of the coolest things about the holidays to me is all the different ways that people decorate their trees. I feel like one of those nosy old people, peeking in people's windows when Christmas time rolls around just so I can get a look at their trees - I love them...all. It doesn't matter if they're fairly bare, with nothing but lights and a few ornaments or so loaded up that you can't even see the green of the branches. It doesn't matter if they're full and the decorations are just laying there, or if the thing looks like a Charlie Brown tree and stuff is hanging haphazardly all over the place.

#2 \| 1297 days ago ms_hippie_queen (+)	(Edited by ms_hippie_queen) tree-decorating since i've gotten my own place has always been a joy consisting of my two closest friends, vodka and diet 7-up, and chucking the ornaments drunkenly at the tree while "a tuna christmas" is going on in the background. i don't bother making it look nice - because as a cat owner, i know the tree will get knocked over during work hours at least once or this will inevitably happen, which always comes coupled with the "adorable" sniper-like action of ornaments being shot from within the tree, across the room. 1. #1 \| 1297 days ago cuddles127017 (+)	I use to put everything on mine, alot of things the kids made at school and some that were knitted. etc. I went thru one phase where it was just lights and red velvet bows. A couple of yrs ago i bought me a 4 ft prelit tree and i add an angel on top. Thats it for me now. 1. Multi-Colored Lights 2. Angel Topper 3. Nothing Else 4. Nothing Else 5. Nothing Else 6. #4 \| 1297 days ago kramer (+)	I went with the way I have my own tree decorated in my bedroom at home. It's pre-lit with all white lights. All of MY ornaments that used to be on the big tree in our living room are now upstairs on my tree. One ornament will always be special to me. My room used to be my grandfather's before he got sick. There was always an ornament on our big tree for him. It's a little green wooden rocking chair with a red pillow that says "grandpa." That ornament now goes on my tree every year, my way of remembering him during the holidays. 1. White Lights 2. Sports Ornaments 3. Glass Bulbs 4. Special Interest Ornaments 5. Other Ornaments 6. A couple of years ago, when I first got my own place and had to get my own tree/decorations, I went to Target and bought a bunch of silver, red, and green Christmas balls and some red and white bows. At this point, I could probably decorate the entire tree without them since my friends/family have given me thousands of ornaments over the years (and I've bought more, of course), but out of tradition (I'm a sap like that, sometimes) I still use them. 1. #9 \| 1297 days ago kammi42 (+)	I dont decorate or have a tree , apparently which is a bad thing because my neighbours kids 8, 6 and 5 knocked on my door and asked why Christmas misses me and gave me some decorations they had made. Said they would come back another day with some more. I must be the Grinch in our street or the mean witch either way looks like i need to step up and get some balls lol.

Bows in blue, green, and white. Seahawks Santa hat as a topper. We do have regular white snowflakes and icicles, and some ornaments that our daughter has made over the years. I was not putting a tree up this year but I did today in honor of my sister, I promised mom I would. This year I added all the needlework ornaments mom made Susan and I over the years. I am glad I did, it is beautiful and was nice when the husband came in and was amazed that I gave in and got over my scrooge mood. (whispers) Man it sucks to do the right thing! 1. Angel Topper 2. That looks exactly like my cat who just got scolded for climbing the tree. I use a dustbuster or vacuum hose to scare her out, but they have "Cat-off" spray that will keep them away from certain areas.
