It's almost like a roll of the dice...come to think of it, I should have done that...probably would have been more accurate.  Also, I'm still holding out all hope for Holliday to stay around....I know it's not going to happen, but I gotta believe!!!!

Molina has all but signed with the Mets. I would love to see Holliday, Pineiro & Marquis in Cardinal uniforms again for 2010. Cameron would look good in a Reds uni again. Dye would be a good fit for the Cubs.

I had always thought Jermaine Dye would be a nice backup plan should/when the Holliday and DeRosa deals dont pan out.  As for Pineiro and Marquis, no way the Cardinals will shell out the kind of money they are looking for.  I see the Cardinals either resigning John Smoltz at a low price or maybe offering a 1 year deal to a guy like Ben Sheets, another guy who I think could flourish under Dave Duncan

Who knows? I think there's still a decent chance Holliday stays in St. Louis, if for nothing other than the presence of McGwire. I think his experience last year might make him want to stay in the NL. I'd love to sign Orlando Hudson here in Colorado; I think 2B is our greatest weakness and he's familiar with the NL West. With almost all the starting pitchers outside of Marquis (who has made it very clear he wants to be a Met, which would be homecoming for him) I picked the AL East because you know it will be a Yankees-Red Sox sweepstakes, especially for Lackey.

Looks like John Lackey and Mike Cameron are on there way to Boston.  Hopefully this is a sign that the free agent signings are about to speed up in what so far has been a lackluster offseason
