Congratulations! You just won a free trip! Where are you going?
For fun, let's pretend you just won an all expenses paid trip to one of the top ten visited cities in the United States. The choices are given below; you just have to choose which one, and when you want to take it. Will it be New York in the winter to skate at Rockefeller Center and see the humongous Christmas tree? How about Seattle in the summer when the sun shines over the Emerald City? Or are you taking the kids to Disney World?

Here are your choices:
  • Boston
  • Las Vegas
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • New York
  • Orlando
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Washington DC
Where are you going? When? Why did you choose this city?
***(As much as I love Seattle and would choose that over any city at any time - let's venture out of our "comfort" city just for kicks and giggles)***

You might be shocked, but Seattle isn't as bad as people think. There's a lot of rain, sure - but in all the dozens of times I've been to the city I think it's rained TWICE - it just rained a lot those two trips lol.

I've already visited Orlando so that's out.  Out of the nine remaing, I'd like to visit just about all nine of them.  I think I'd eventually have it down to Miami or Las Vegas and end up going with Vegas since I've already visited Florida before.  And I'll be going to get drunk, gamble, and do other things my mom would not be proud of.

No, sorry, I am not interested to visit United States.

I would have to narrow mine down to Boston, Miami, Orlando, and DC because I've been to the others and I don't really have a desire to see NY. Boston, I'd like to go for the history. Miami I'm not sure if I'm all that keen on. Orlando I would definitely go for Disney World and Sea World. DC, again for the history and architecture. SO...out of Boston, Orlando, and DC - I'd pick DC because I know my husband would enjoy it as much as I would.

I chose Orlando just because there are some fine looking ladies in Florida
Orlando
#8 | 1283 days ago

Since San Diego is just 2 hours away, San Francisco about 6 hours, and Vegas is about 4 hours away from me by car, it was a toss up between Washington DC during the spring and New York during the holidays.  New York won out...partially because I want to see what  all the fuss is about. I would love to attend a Rangers game, do all the touristy things like visit the Statue of Liberty, visit Central Park, and watch a Broadway show.

Teach I may need your help on this one, but isn't Orlando also in Florida??? It's been a while since I checked a map...   But I know what you mean Mike, Miami would work too.
Orlando

I've been to every other place of interest on the list.  I really want to see the Big Apple.  That, and I want a chance to be on Cash Cab.

Orlando definitely is in Florida.  Just saying that Miami was a good reputation.

I picked Vegas since all the the party is there. Thought that is where TY was sending all his QERS that stuck around for the convention.

All the choices are good when you're trapped in Boise in December! I did pick Seattle though simply because it would make my family happy! I would like to go early in the summer to make sure I DIDN'T see a Seahawk's game. By the by Jess is right, I've been in Seattle a dozen times with very little rain as a matter of fact the first trip I took it was 90 degrees!

I've visited them all except San Francisco and Seattle. Miami was when I was just six, though, and Boston we just drove through, though we spent an hour or so in Salem. I only spent a single afternoon in New York, so I definitely want to go back. But on the basis of strictly where I've never been at all... in fact, San Diego has been my only visit to the West Coast, so it's SF or Seattle, and we have a friend in Seattle (plus Jess :) and we no doubt would take a side trip to Forks. So here's one vote for Seattle

I've been to 7 of these cities and enjoyed them all, well okay I was really only at the San Diego Zoo but it still counts.  I'd like to see the 3 I haven't been to at some point, which are Boston, Seattle, and Miami, but if you're giving me a paid trip and I get to choose out of those 10, I'm headed for Vegas baby!
Las Vegas
#22 | 1283 days ago

Definitely Vegas. I'm a gambler at heart. If it's in the world though, I really want to visit Venice.
Las Vegas

Vegas, baby, Vegas. (I've already been to all those places and San Diego and Seattle were the nicest, but I can never really remember everything about Vegas the times I've been. Maybe the next trip will be different. Hopefully not.)

hmmm....Seems some people may need to visit me in Boston. Nothing like a good night at Sullivans Tap to start the tour. For me , a San Diego start, with a stop in LA, to pick up a hitchhiker on the way to Vegas seems like the way to go....

I wouldn't mind going to LA.  I've never been out West before (except for a wedding in Colorado earlier this year).

I'm off to Washington DC when all the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom. I want to go the Arlington Cemetery to thank the Soldiers in person, touch The Wall and stand at the feet of Lincoln. I want to see the Marines raise the flag at the Iwo Jima monument.
