Due to the history of Dallas choking in big games and missing the playoffs, will the Cowboys miss the playoffs again or will the Giants?

It's Dallas.  The Giants will probably fall off, and I think the Cowboys are too talented not to make the wildcard.

Here's how I see the NFC playoff bracket shaping up at season's end:

1. New Orleans
2. Minnesota
3. Philly
4. Arizona
5. Dallas
6. Green Bay

Dallas does have a shot at taking over the East (especially with the last game being against Philly), but I think the next two weeks of the schedule favor the Eagles (at home against the 49ers and Broncos) over the Cowboys (on the road against the Saints and Redskins).  Those two weeks could very well widen the gap enough to make the last game not matter for divisional purposes.  However, if the Eagles are up by just one game or tied with the Cowboys going into that last week, it'll be for the division once again.

Well if the "choice" is only between these two team- then Dallas wins the wildcard!  However, i think the Eagles are gonna stumble and the Cowboys are gonna steal the Division Title from them giving the Eagles the wildcard!

The Cowboys may falter at the end of the year, but the Giants have been struggling most the season with an injured Eli.  I just don't see them being able to pull themselves out of that.

For the Giants to "tie"- they have to count on either the Cowboys or Packers losing one of their remaining two games- AND the Giants have to win both of their including beating the Vikings in week #17..... Stranger things have happened- but I really don't see this senerio working out for the G-Men!   To many "ifs" are involved here........

Cowboys are playing the Redskins and the Eagles, the Packers are playing the Seahawks and the Cardinals. To avoid giving the Giants a chance, they would have to go 4-0. They could, but Eagles and Cardinals are tough games. The Giants can beat the Panthers, and I think the Viking game will be a reverse of last year where the Giants got things wrapped up and the Vikings beat them to get in to the playoffs. If not, I'd rather face them Week 17 than Weeks 1-11. Even if it's not the Cowboys getting knocked out, I feel pretty good about the chances. I'll say 60-70%?

Well lets see, so far, my "thinking" has been 100% CORRECT!  The Giants missed the playoffs and the Cowboys are in the proper position to steal the NFC Title from the Eagles.... HMMMMMMMMM   My "thinking" is not that illogical after all is it- seems like you are the one who's brains are getting blown out! LOL

that sounds like some childhood thing, "I'm rubber, you're glue whatever you say to me bounces off and sticks to you!" That's what that wood/steel thing sounds like!

Well, you.ve been right so far. i hope you're not right with the Eagles. You know sometimes, you just feel somethings? Well, I believe the Eagles will turn it on.

all this is laughable the Eagles fans are lost there so scared they don't know what to do they know the Cowboys have more talent, and that the Boys already beat them in Philly this year. They were hoping for that December collapse and it didn't come now there biting there nails just prayin for a miracle!!! Well you poor souls its just not happening this year. lol

In all honesty Cowboys and Eagles fans alike should be so stoked for this game, cause i believe win or lose both teams will come in fighting and it should make for one hell of a game. A sight to be seen that's for sure. so good luck to you Eagles fans and Cowboys fans at least the ones who have stuck by the Cowboys all year get ready for what could be the game of the year.

Cowboys 34 Eagles 23         Go Cowboys!!!!!!

What alot of people fail to realize is that they will have to play eachother TWICE. So no matter this game, it's the one after that that propels the team to the next level. I'll be pumped and can't wait to see if the Eagles do unto others as tey have done unto them!

I think you're thinking of the Pittsburgh Steelers when you say "team of steel".  But be careful what you wish for if you want the Cowboys to win the division.  If that happens, there's a good possibility that these teams (Cowboys and Eagles) might get a rematch in the first round of the playoffs.  And how many teams have beaten the same opponent 3 times during the same season?  That's a hard thing to do.  You might as well concede the division to the Birds.

They're little Dallas ants being drawn to the fact that their team has a shot at bragging rights amongst other things... Go back to your anthill Dallasants before I sprinkle you with Boric Acid!

It's not that bad, there's another poll I responded to and had to tell the guy to relax! I don't own the Eagles and i know he doesn't own the Cowgirls. I know it's going to be a blood pumping game and when the eagles go up 14 points, i can't wait to see the cowgirls go into panic mode and throw a interception and we go up 17-0 and romo starts to look for Jessica in the stands. In all seriousness, it's a game I won't get a ticket to, I am not going to the superbowl, and might not get a parade. I worry about the real die-hards that it changes their lives. when I am at work they are only happy when the Eagles win. After they loose, they all are mad, and don't want to talk. I then have to turn into "Dr. Phil" and talk them off the edge. In Philadelphia, the fans take sports very seriously. They haven't had a parade from a superbowl for so long that these die-hards believe that the team represents them. i only tell them that when a receiver drops the ball, his paycheck is still coming. When you get a write up at work, you have one more time or 2 until you're fired! So learn how to differentiate between the two. But it's also the excitement. But it should never affect your life, the same as Christmas. Why "tis the season to be jolly" when I am all year around? Why do people wait for a team to  win to be happy or a holiday? When I wake up and can see, breathe without  oxygen tanks and don't crawl into a wheel chair, I AM ESTACTIC! People don't get it, it's not that serious! But do enjoy the game people, and Cowgirls fans, I want you to take all the knives, forks and weapons out of your house because I don't want you to hurt  your wife or anyone esle after the game.... PLEASE.       Giggles.

lol isn't that the case for all teams. I myself am a huge cowboys fan and i'll even admit getting a little upset when things go bad. but once the game is over that's it your team lost and you still have a life to live. i think it is kinda sad that people don't have enough going for them that they only feel like winners when a team they have nothing to do with but cheering for them wins. sometimes i wish that were the case for me i think i'd come a ban wagon fan and always be a winner so i didn't have to get up everyday and work at improving my life and my kids life... lol but their victories are just that theirs and we as fans just get to enjoy the fact that THEY won. and go find a way for ourselves to win.... but it sure is fun having the friendly jawing sessions with other teams fans... Isn't it? by the way murphy i'm pretty sure thy guy in the other poll was a saints fan. didn't he say you needed to be beaten to a bloody pulp?
