Gary Kubiak - in or out for 2010?
Gary Kubiak - in or out for 2010? Photo

With the 5-3 start, folks praised the bejesus out of him.
Then the 4 game skid, folks were ready to send him packing.
Now with the 3 game win streak, opinions are mixed.

I think the inability for the Texans to play an entire 60 minutes doesn't rest on the coach's shoulders in the least. I also think the tendency to "play not to lose" Sunday after any given Sunday doesn't rest on the shoulders of the players in the least. There's give and take and huge losses to injury, namely Owen Daniels, needs to be taken into account. If I'm Bob McNair, I keep the coach who has been giving us better records than any other in the Texans short and at times painful history.

How about you?

Kubiak, try as he may, didn't miss a field goal or fumble the entire season.   Keep him and get rid of the Chris & Kris Browns..  The players want him there.

If the stars align well we'll be in the playoffs.  Eventhough we're backing in let's not forget the 08' Cardinals.  Kubiak has many flaws.  I like him as an OC but is there a better "obtainable" HC out there?

Oh no, Lion...must we be so harsh with Kris Brown?  He obviously should have competition for the job next year, but I hate to give up so quickly on the kicker previously known as Mr. Reliable.  (Besides...Jeez man...haven't you noticed how cute he is?!?!)

Actually I have noticed his dimpled adorable face. In a truly manly, hetero kinda way of course. I don't think Kris Brown is totally to blame. Kickers all over the league have missed kicks this year. The othe Brown (the Ch Chris) has done nothing but disapponit. He's big for an RB, something like 6-2 and 230 pounds or so, and for him to be stopped so many times at the goal line makes me think he's soft. So keep the K and cut the Ch.

that is also one of my concerns for coach (and kris brown) - is there anyone available who could do a better job?

Kubiak stays! And if they don't make the playoffs this year? Next year they will with Kubiak at the helm! Watch out next year Indy. Won't be starting 14-0 again!

I want Kubiak to stay at least one more year.  Really think he and the team are "growing up" together, and they'll be stronger for it in the long run.  (Uh oh...was that too warm and fuzzy sounding for football?)  Anyway...if nothing else, I think the risk is lower to gamble on Kubiak for one more year, rather than start over with a different coach and take the chance of being set back a year, if not more.

Kubiak, is a gret coach the team as a whole are well coached, if the players would put there heart in the second half like they do in the first half  the subject of a new coach would not be a issue

After the game, saw Bob McNair give Kris Brown a hug...or was that the Kiss of Death?!?!

I have always liked Kris Brown, but I would also like to see UT's Hunter Lawrence give him a little competition in training camp this summer.
