Thing We Never Heard of 10 Years Ago! (Edited 12/29/09 01:38AM by )
1.Online Airline Check-In
You can look at pictures online, find new routes you hadn't’t thought of, and even get prices on packages that you couldn’t believe. Suddenly your imagination is activated: you can taste the food, see the colors, and smell the world before you even print out that boarding pass.

2. Free Online Credit Reports
With your credit report, you couldn’t access this kind of information for free in the ‘90s.

3. Energy Drinkings
They keep you going!

4.  TMZ
naughty celebrity Web site

5.  Chipotle
This  ended up being popular without being trendy, which means that they didn’t invent the taco or anything, they’re just doing this product, that people like anyway, in an elevated way.

6.  Gardisel
these shots will give women the opportunity to protect themselves

7.  DVR's
For a moderate price the DVR lets us control television in ways never imagined

8.  iTunes
Since Apple’s version of an online library launched in the beginning of 2001, it’s never stopped evolving.

9.  YOUTUBE
Now there are so many people visiting YouTube that they’re serving 1 billion views a day. Wow! YouTube is like McDonald’s.

10.  Wikipedia
it’s a vital, living repository of human knowledge, much in the manner of a traditional encyclopedia.

Can you think of anymore?  Do you use any of the above?

By the way, how could you leave out The Hills or Real Housewives of Orange County, Atlanta, and New Jersey------not to mention the greatness of Real World vs. Road Rules Gauntlet or whatever else that dude TJ hosts?

For the record, Thomas Joseph Lavin (and anything which requires him to use his Yoda-like invigilator skills) can NOT be quantified on or in what we call the space-time continuum. It's string theory, but good point. Shame on moi. LOL (HOW THE HELL DID I FORGET TJ!?!?!?!)

I love Chipotle more than I ever could love any sort of restaurant or chain of restaurants. It is absolutely spectacular and me and my roommate make sure to visit once every couple of weeks and know a few of the employees at the nearest one for me to be able to say "I'll have the usual" and they actually know what it is.

Chipotle is a fine Colorado company.. I could have sworn they had those here 10 years ago for some reason..

It's all making me feel nostalgic for 1999 when we were all using Netscape to search on Yahoo!, 56K dial-up was perfectly adequate, no one was imagining YouTube or Twitter-- or 9/11 either-- a few people had started weblogs because they're weren't well-known enough to drop the first two letters yet, or to become a verb. Folks were excited to get a DVD player for Christmas, the St. Louis Rams were The Greatest Show on Turf and on their way to becoming Super Bowl Champions, the Atlanta Braves had recently lost to the New York Yankees in the World Series again (sigh); it was the second of three consecutive Yankees titles and the third of four in five years (grrrr), everyone was buying stock in dot-com startups, no one was scared about the economy, and politically the worst thing we had to deal with was...

It's overwhelming how all those things have changed our lives in a few years and all those that are coming! I still remember when I got my first cellphone with camera included  Just kidding!

True, but Lavin crushes the unintentional comedy scale.

You have them, just have to make the drive up to Atlanta for it. They have like 15 in that city, and I could probably point out where 8 of them are just from North Ave. Yea, it's a sickness.

Did you watch when Moseley hosted? Dude was amazing. I will agree with Marcus on the unintentional humor, but he even knows that Jonny was a better overall host.

Don't ask me, I was 2 ten years ago! (ah, those were the days...back when puberty was nonexistent and i spent every day swinging, calling for Mommy, and watching Ariel the mermaid kick the mean octopus woman in the butt over and over and over)
#31 | 1669 days ago

That i would become divorced, only to find the true love of my life five years later.
