This is what Kentucky Fans thought about John Calipari when he was at Memphis...

33 wins- They have possibly 20 games left, including SEC Tournament Play.  They will probably stumble in a couple conference games, but given the SEC's recent struggles (other than Kentucky of course), I wouldn't be surprised if they only lose one or two total in conference. Vandy at Memorial Gym is always pretty tough, and Mississippi State in Starkville should be a good one.  UT will be depleted with some good players suspended so they should sweep them easily.  Florida doesn't have the size or the talent to match up with them this year.  Look for a sweep in that series as well (and someone tell Billy Donovan that he's the biggest moron in basketball for passing up the chance to not only coach for the Orlando Magic, but also at UK).  23 wins DERKE?? Seriously?  So they are going to go 8-8 in the regular season of the SEC this year?  Good luck with that prediction.  And good luck to IU.  Maybe they can win 23 games over their next two seasons.

Hugh Chardon - You are like a sad little high school chick who didn't get asked to the prom.  Just keep crying your little eyes out that Calipari left Memphis for Kentucky.  Pathetic dude.  Really pathetic.

I can see UK, even as good as they are and as good as I talk about them, possibly tripping up at Florida, MSU, or even UT if they aren't careful. Depending how the situation in Knoxville pans out, Pearl could get one/some of the guys back once the investigation clears. MSU can defend, and Florida's team did beat Syracuse so they can perform at a high level. I'm not sold at all on Donovan's club, but it's conference play so anything can happen. There are a lot of 'ifs' and possibilities but clearly Kentucky is playing head and shoulders above the rest of the SEC. Vandy has been tough at home so that could be something to watch out for. My prediction is UK goes 30-1 in the regular season, then sweeps the SEC Tourney making it 33-1. Maybe it's a long shot, but with our coaching, our talent and depth we can do wonders in the NCAA. Our young studs will gain more experience and maturity throughout the remainder of this season to close the gap on the critics and the believers. GO BIG BLUE

Who says Kensucky will even make the tournament.  Surely Coach Cal will break NCAA rules, and get Kensucky put on probation.

You show poor class for a KU fan. As a Kansas fan myself I definitely have room to say that. Die-hard or not, you have to give credit where it is ultimately due. And Kentucky is a program and a current team that deserves. Take notice, UK may be off your radar now, but come tournament time this conversation could be making you eat crow. I hope success for the Jayhawks, my 2nd love in NCAA bball. But I Bleed Blue in KenTucky basketball for all of time. WILDCATS!

I hope he doesn't, but that is one thing that I've been worried about. But, it's spelled KenTucky. Now stop being a KansASS.

You must be referring to KansASS State.  Gave Mizzery a good game today.

Do you want to know the number of wins they will have before the SEC or NCAA Tournament?  I put down 33 but that is before the NCAA Tournament.

Kansas hasn't looked like a true #1 team all year.  And their inconsistent play finally caught up with them, not surprisingly on the road. It was a huge win for UT, but I don't see it as a sign of them remaining in the top 20.  UT's lack of depth and talent will be on display when they get deep into SEC play.  They fought hard.  I don't want to play spoiler to their game.  They earned that upset, and I was rooting for them big time.  But I still don't think that they will be able to handle UK at all.  They got drummed twice last year by a much worse UK team, and with Tyler Smith and Brian Williams.

I say 31-3 overall- including SEC Tourney... Then they go on to win the NC!
