Is it next year?
So the deals are almost done, some players are gone(Thank God, that the player we are forbidden to speak his name is) and new players have been added. So without our loyal Cubs hats on and being objective, do you believe this is next year?

We still have a core group of good ballplayers but we need to add some more pitching depth and a slugger to help protect  D. Lee and A. Ramirez. Only time will tell Cubsgirl2 . Bring on Spring Training weather..

Honestly, I don't see them making the playoffs. The Cardinals will most likely win the division, and I think the wild card will come from the NL West, so the Cubs will be left out. But hey, that is just one man's opinion.

I believe they are still a player and 2 pitchers away from making a serious Championship run. Although they lost I still think the Phillies will be the team to beat in the NL for the next couple of Seasons. The C word guys are spending way too much MONEY on a few players to be competitive in the not so distant future.

Cubgirl, you just don't seem to have the love and joy necessary of a true Cardinal-Cubs friendship. You need to smile more! Get into the spirit! Embrace the fun your team has had over the last 101 years, like we have! Sacrifice a goat! Whack a black cat with a baseball bat! Blow up a baseball fumbled by Steve Bartman and sautee it into a plate of spaghetti at Harry Carry's? Wax poetically about the 65th Anniversary of the 1945 team that lost to Detroit and was the last Cubs team to go to a World Series. Com'on!

I'm really liking this group of players and coaches the Cubs have put together. They are not finished. If they can end strong and get Orlando Hudson for 2nd base and be the leadoff hitter that would be fantastic. Or if they can pick up Ben Sheets in which they are having talks with would be nice too. Sheets was just looked at by 15 teams the other day. Only time will tell on that.

I'm hoping this is the year but only time and talent will tell the tale of the CUBS season.  We need to keep pace with the Cards because the rest of the Division sucks. Lets right this ship once and for all Cubbies and end up in the series..please God just once in my lifetime..
