'Cause we know where we are, we know where we are going... and we want to pass as many cars as we can without peeing before we get there...

Well first I'm never lost, so I don't have to.  I guess that's all I got.

I'm not gonna lie I ask for them all the time. I have no sense of direction.

I blame my dad and his genes

I usually preview a map of the area before I leave,, taking note of some of the streets in the area, especially right before the one I need to turn onto.

If I don't get it correct the first time, I know how I got to where I am, so I know how to backtrack my way out.  And I will admit I have had to ask for directions a couple of times.  (That's it guys - take away my Man Card!)

Usually, though, I am usually the one playing "OnStar" for my co-workers when they need assistance.

I honestly don't mind asking for directions. I'd rather ask for directions than get ordered around by a voice on a little machine in my car...as long as I own a car a sat nav is going nowhere near it-it takes the fun out of driving and getting lost

#5 | 1224 days ago

because nobody has a darn clue where anything is anyway.

I ask for directions all the time. Same as Towelie, terrible sense of direction, and if it's in a city/area I haven't been to many times before, I'm screwed.

I don't know about the getting lost part, especially with a sat nav, not being any fun.   I have one for my Dell pda that I have tried out here in San Diego.  I have attempted to throw it off by going an alternate route, only to have it "yell" at me to turn around and go the other way.  Or it would have me drive a few blocks past my destination only to turn around and come back. (All I had to do was turn left, but it didn't see that.)

I have also used it in Washington DC on a trip with my son.  Now that was fun.  I would go through construction areas, with new ramps for changing freeways, only to have it tell me to get back on the road.  And going from my hotel in Arlington to the one my son was going to be staying at (he was attending a school program there) my trip that should of had me there in about 1/2 hour, the darned thing had me going north, south, east, west, back and forth.

By the time I stopped following it and pulled out a secondary back-up map, the piece of junk told me my estimated time of arrival was at least 2 hours away.

I personally believe that if Moses would have just stopped to ask for directions he would have wandered for maybe...... two weeks at the most.

I haven't had one of  those in forever, and I'm still never lost.  Not to mention the last time I asked my ex, she wanted to go through Atlanta to get to Orlando.

Husband says it is a matter of pride and we men like to think that we know more than we do and want to prove that we have a good sense of direction.
I say I love him when he is not afraid to admit he is human.....  I also like telling him where to go

I thought men had a natural sense of direction, and I always have fetl jealous about that, now I see some men have that problem too.(little tear running down my face)
