What do you think of the passer interference call in overtime
The vikes and saints both had great seasons...They also both fought very hard in the conference championship..in fact they were so evenly matched it went into overtime...now the saints won the toss...they were driving down field and looking good...BUT they still werent in field goal range until the refs called a very bad passer interference call in my opinion, to pretty much lock up the game for the saints...It appeared they had both just tripped but yet they still threw the flag...This call costed the vikes there entire season...THERE ENTIRE SEASON WAS THROWN DOWN THE DRAIN ON A TERRIBLE PASSER INTERFERENCE CALL!!! Now im not a vikes or saints fan, but i was a little frustrated to see it end like this!! Whats your opinion??

 Uncatchable

I'm a die hard saints fan and that call was cringe worthy. Plus they got the roughing the passer call wrong, then two plays later missed the Brady/Palmer rule. Not good. horribly officiated game.

It was uncatchable, but whatever.  The real problems were the NFL's horrible OT rule and the eleventy billion turnovers the Vikings had (and their idiot coach).

What hurt the Vikes more than anything, your driving for the winning field goal with all this momentum. The Clock is whinning down, and your setting everything up, close to range for the winning field goal.  Then 12 MEN IN THE FRIGGIN HUDDLE, thats was inexcuseable at that time in a BIG GAME, like that. You seen the air start to go out on the Vikes, right there. Then Farve pulled his usual, thats ball game right there.

There were 4 bad calls againts the Vikings in OT that I can think of at the moment. Bret was cheated.

Stop whining and crying- you guys are starting to sound like Keith Brooking now.....  Brett Favre and 5 Turnovers lost the game for the Vikings- not a bad call- get real!  If those turnovers would have never happened- neither would have that call happened! Get over it!

It was questionable- yes! But it could have gone either way- it all depends on the angle that the referee had! But there were also many bad calls in the game on BOTH sides! Those happen in EVERY game! 5 Turnovers lost the game- period!

At first glance, I thought the pass interference was unwarranted.  But on the replays, I saw the defender was all over him, and I don't fault the ref for calling it.  I think the receiver could've even potentially made a diving play inbounds if he wasn't interfered, so it wasn't a terrible call.
Like vindog said, you can't expect to win while committing 5 turnovers.  The Vikings were lucky that they gained so many yards, because that's what even kept them close in the game in the first place.

I almost agree. they wouldnt have called roughing the passer if he hadnt up-ended him like it was the WWE. Tom Brady would have gotten that call. All QB contact, I refer to as the the Brady Rule because you better not let a drop of your sweat fall on Tom Brady's arm. So...based on the "Brady Rule", good call.  (Sidenote: I kept screaming Brady Rule during the game and all the men in the room starting trying to explain it to me. Im like Shut the hell up, I know the rule. lol. Then I had to explain to them that I want all the calls Brady would get, it's similar to the Michael Jordan rule.) Then there was the actual Brady Rule play and we didnt get sh*t. Ridiculous. The officiating was inconsistent at best and affected the entire game, and thats why in another poll I said that refs should be fined when the bad calls affect the game the way some of these calls did. Horribleness!

i partly disagree. yes with all of the turnovers the vikings should have lost, but with all of the turnovers, the Saints should have been dominating long before the end of the 4th. So the Saints not executing is what kept the game close.

qtowndogg...i completely disagree with you...the guy was not all over him...he simply tripped on his own and it wasnt catchable at that...if you think a guy can make a catch thats about 6 feet above his head, your crazy....i have DVR and watched it several times that night, it was clearly not catchable and not a passer interference either

Oct. 8, 2007....Cowboys vs. Bills on monday night football...the cowboys commited 6 turnovers and still won the game...so saying that you cant win committing 5 turnovers is not a valid point...the saints should have capitalized and they didnt, which i think is worst then the actual turnovers, good teams take advantage of other teams mistakes..and the saints did not do that...But anyways the cowboys ended up winning 25-24...a game i will never forget...most amazing comeback i have ever seen.
