That's the thing about Brett Favre... (Edited 01/27/10 02:20AM by JemJenn)
Read the Article: If Brett Favre rules applied to baseball

...he's not afraid to throw an interception. That's one of the things I most admire about him.

Bold words from Sportscenter analyst Tom Jackson.
Yes, he did indeed say these words about Brett Favre.

Craig Calcaterra  of NBC sports turned this absurd statement into a running joke/game

Basically, the premise is to take an infamous sports moment and player and throw then into the formula Tom Jackson used. The example he uses (which I love) is:
"That's the thing about Bill Buckner. He's not afraid to muff a grounder. That's one of the things I most admire about him."

So I have passed on the task he gave to his readers to you: add to this joke and create your own ridiculous statement. It doesn't nessesarily have to be sports related

Thats the thing about sports writers, they will print anything, to get their names in the papers.
Same with sports anouncers, they are not afraid to sound stoopid, and come back in the same sentence and say it again.

This message not intended to be a personal attack on any one. Professional sports writers and announcers. Thanks before I get smacked down

this poll needs a rebirth.
#22 | 1019 days ago

Ash, here's your rebirth. Don't complain about the way it was brought back either, you asked for it.

That's the thing about Brett Farve, he not afraid to throw into triple or quadruple coverage. Retire/ not retire/ retire (you get the picture), cost the game for 52 other players on his ignorant decisions. That's what makes him a douche who couldn't retire and keep some dignity.

That's the thing I like about Terry Bradshaw--he relishes in his public personification of looking like a human condom, but loves to be on TV anyways....

That's the thing about the CHICAGO CUBS, they aren't afraid to go 102 yrs without winning a WORLD SERIES because they know they will continue to sell out every game and have people throw away good money away to watch them lose and at the same time, get as much press as a team who is actually winning year in and year out.
