I agree he was an overrated player.  He threw 173 touchdowns and tossed 220 interceptions during his career.  Only 2 seasons he threw more TDs than Ints.

He also has the worst career QB rating by a Super Bowl QB ever, at 65.5.

I don't remember much until you get in the 30's (or XXX that is). Most of those guys were not bad quarterbacks. They weren't Hall of Fame material, but they weren't bad. Chris Chandler had a decent career; he was hampered by multiple concussions. Brad Johnson and Gannon hung around for a while, and Kerry Collins is still out there. Rex Grossman, well, he got replaced by Kyle Orton. So I guess maybe I'd say Grossman would be the worst of this bunch that I've seen.

Tony Eason, he couldn't complete a pass out of 6 attempts, before being pulled out for Steve Grogan. That Bears defense really got to him.

Also, Neil O'Donnell throwing 2 interceptions to Larry Brown that led to TD's. One of them was when there wasn't a Steelers receiver within 10 yards of Brown.

Trent Dilfer is possibly the worst to actually win, along with Jeff Hostetler, while Mark Rypien had the most forgettable / shortest career out of the winners (and MVPs).

I agree that joe Namath should be on this list. How he made it to the hall of fame is beyond me. But eason is the worst of the bunch.

I don't know about WORST, but definitely the most OVER-RATED.

I dont know if the worst is fitting, but if that is what you want to call it the worst,,that would have to be Dilfer..On the ravens Superbowl run all he had to do was not make mistakes for them to win,,he just handed the ball off and not commit stupid mistakes

All he ever did was make one stupid guarantee and back it up. Which, at that time, was unheard of especially with how dominant the NFL was over the AFL.

Tony Eason - 0 for 6, zero yards against DA BEARS !
Vince Ferragamo - only had 5 starts; 48% completion %, 5 TDs w/ 10 int's during the season
Craig Morton - decent career, but against Dallas he was 4 for 15, 4 int's, and a 0.0 QB rating !  (at least Eason was 39.6 !)
David Woodley - 4 for 14, 1 TD (Cefalo) & 1 int against Wash
Billy Kilmer - decent career too, but against Miami was 14 for 28, 3 int's, 19.6 QB rating

And while I am not a Grossman fan at all, he did go 20 for 28 against Indy, with 1 TD & 2 int's......certainly not the worst perforamnce....
