Maybe poker's just not your game. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
I know most of you would probably go and cheat and use Google if we had a "for real" spelling contest, so lets put a spin on it ...

If you could change the spelling of a word which would you choose, how would you spell it, and why?

I would change the word "Foreign"

1. Because it's a Fn stupid spelling
2. .... Don't really need a two since it's my rules

And I'd spell it, "Forout" ... so it would make a bit more sense.

Have fun kids!

I would change February.
Does anyone actually pronounce it with the first "R" anyway?  I've never met anyone that does.
In my book, Febuary it is.

So let it be written!

oh and yes, having to use google to spell the word that you would have to  "type" for us is the reason we couldnt have a "for real" spelling bee.    uh huh.

Any word that starts with a kn (knowledge, know, knight) or a wh (when, where, why)....oh yeah and any vowel combo words (teacher, tea, beans).....oh oh and "gh"----(weigh, thigh) why must words have a gh at the end when neither letter is pronounced?

I misspelled infatuated once to someone and they called me out on it so I would change the spelling of Infatuated to Infactuated

of course from Boston anyhow, so we don't even pronounce the r's
#21 | 1668 days ago

kteacher, I do believe English is the hardest language to learn for sure...too funny, even if from USA, depending on what part, people cannot understand or read or make sense of lots of places here in Boston and the way they are pronounced, never mind about common words you brought up..........wowwww, guess we're a pretty smart bunch of people

I would get rid of the letters:
Q (replaced by kw in spelling)
X (replaced by ks in spelling)
and replace C with a CH sounding letter, since S and K work fine.

instead of saying these 5 words separately,  "Know what I'm talking about?"

we could say (and spell) this "Naw'mtalkinbout?"

that's how we do it in the state of Texas anyway.

I agree with Arkan ................. well, I simply call it Ar (as in 'other' slurred) - Kansas.  Figure the dude the named it was probly talkin to some dumb hillbilly about what was down each road.  Pointing down one he says, "Kansas" .... down another "Uhhh ... arrr-Kansas".  Eventually the people figured the place didn't need a name of its own.

But Ghost I would spell, "OhFMe"!!   lol

I'm pretty sure it came from an Indian tribal name, like most states west of the Mississippi.
