You may be missing a few quarterbacks on your list (Farve, Marino, Bradshaw, Elway).  I will go with Elway. Tomorrow I may go with someone else. You can make a valid argument for every one of these guys.

You were missing Barat Starr, the first to win two super bowls, and back to back at that. He was a lot better qb than a coach.

Joe Montana was unflappable under the toughest situations.I've never been a 49er fan, but Joe was all that.

I like Otto grahams numbers and the fact he won so many championships. However I never seen him play other than on nfl films. I grew up when Montana was huge and winning so many games. My vote goes for him.

John Elway because I watched him the most

Although I'm a Steelers fan, I think that Joe Montana was the best.Bradshaw had Franco,Swann, and a helluva defense to hold things down.Montana did just as much(4 SuperBowls) with less

It's hard for me to choose between John Elway and Steve Young, because they were both like running backs with great arms and playmaking ability.

thank god theres no farve on this list cuz if anything by him coming back these past 3 years defly knocked him down on the list of greatest qb of all time.. the only award he deserves is the best old man still playing in the nfl, which he just beat all the kickers and vinny testaverde... sorry about that out burst just the name bret farve makes me wanna kill someone...  but besides all that i would have to say joe montana

I agree with you! How come Tom Brady made it on the list but Brett Favre didnt? Huge ripoff! Brett Favre has accomolished so much more not cuz hes been playing for a while.... I personally think Tom Brady should be a punter, a kicker, or a long snapper.

Brett Favre is awesome! BTW its spelled with 2 ts.... I have pretty good taste and I know when I see a good quarter back and I know hes 1... This year he didnt do so well but you cant tell me he didnt do good last year he made it to the NFC Championship and almost won! Dont be trash talking my Brett! I wasnt alive when most of these quarterbacks were playings so thats probably why a lot of you people think Im crazy....

he's such a great qb that everyone knows that hes spelled with two tt's.. but i have to disagree with you ever since his last year in green bay hes been trash and deserves/needs to retire.. yea granted the fact that year the TEAM made it to the NFC championship but why mainly cause of peterson.. the funny thing is ive only been around the same amount of time to see the same QB's as you, but unlike you a real NFL fan dose there research/watch clips before answering a question and not just answer it with there favorite teams QB... i can bet money that if favre was still on green bay or never left the jets you wouldnt be talking about him the way that you are... and quick question if you have such good taste and you know a good QB when you see one how do you figure that favre is better then QB legends???

Ya he is.... Hey ya the the team made it but you need a good quarterback to get there I mean look at the Dolphins they did horrible because they dont have a leader and I know that for a fact because most of this season my dad has been pulling out his hair and screaming at the tv he is a Dolphin fan for life. Oh ya I got confused with Steve Young and Vince Young oops! Vikings arnt really my favorite team.... Jets are I changed my picture. Ill also admit I have seen a lot from those quarterbacks I watch a lot of NFL Network! I have always love the Jets+ ya I would Ive liked him since I started watching football well actually since Ive been able to understand it... Which isnt very long considering my age... Dude Im only 12! Give me a break! Ive only understood football for like 5 years! Im a daddys girl... At least I know what Im talking about most girs my age would be rating on how cute they are! I dont know about you but I dont think Brett Favre is the cutest man ever...

well im not gonna rate his looks because i dont go that way, i go by stats and how well they perform per game year by year.. but ill give you credit standing by your decision and knowing as much as you do at the age that you are... still wont make me like him any better, my hatred for favre grows more and more as the days go by but thats only because just the sound of his name urkes me because in my eyes hes not that great

idk if that was to me lol, but mine as of whos playing right now is romo & brees.. are they the best not at all especially for romo he still has to learn alot in the game before he even gets compaired to aikman in my eyes.. as for brees i think i can argue that hes one of the best right now but brady (even though i hate him with a passion, lol) and payton are the best right now hands down..

that he will not gonna lie.. but i think im more looking foward to see how matt ryan and sam bradford turn out to be because i can see them being the top quarterbacks in acouple years, kinda how brady and payton are now (im not compairing the 4 qb's, all im basically saying is that the younger ones will have the same popularity as the older ones)

It's Unitas man, he only revelotionized the forward pass and created the 2 minute drill. OH, AND WON CHAMPIONSHIPS ALONG THE WAY TO THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME !!! After him. Otto Graham and Joe Montana respectively.

Not to start anything Steve Young has not played since 1999, and with you being 12 that would have made you what around 1 when he last played? Besides that stick with Farve do not worry about others putting him down because he came back to play. He took the Jets and Vikings to the playoffs and he was past his prime.  Great QB.

I'm going to get pelted horribly, here. Hear me out, please. Yes, he only has one title, but being a quarterback isn't about winning games all by yourself, it's about making everyone around you better. No one in the history of the league was better at that than Peyton. Year after year, despite bad defenses and suspect running games, Peyton would tear through the greatest defenses in the league, from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. His powerful offensive play even made his defense better, because they would force each team to pass early and often if they expected to win, and thus lent stardom to the likes of Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, and Bob Sanders. Names that would have vanished in the annals of NFL lore, such as Dallas Clark, Jacob Tamme, Austin Collie, and Marvin Harrison became big names as well.

You cannot go wrong with that answer. Just look at what happen when he did not play for a season, he should have been the MVP instead of Rodgers.

really you have a valid argument for Steve Young?  HAHAHAHAHA...he sucked before he went to an already established team in SF.  Everyone forgets the TB Steve Young.

I am going with the smartest I ever saw play the game.  I don't how many Super Bowls they won...football is a team sport.  QB is an individual position and nobody plays it better than Peyton
