I would go with MUD, that is the best first-aid available on ground.

what kind of wound are we talking about here? if it's a bruise, a kiss from a lovely female would suffice, but if it's an open gash, I'm gonna go with tree sap or super glue.. maybe both..

I carry Burt's Bee lip balm stuff, it fixes everything... unless there are bones sticking through the skin, then bust out the duct tape.

To some, it may be a redneck joke... to all of us folks in South Carolina, it's a way of life a.k.a. how we roll.

I've heard it both ways.

I'd use whatever was available------tape (had my chin duct taped during a baseball game when I was 7), cold can of soda/beer, a vegetable, etc...

It was/is used a lot in heating/AC duct work, hence the 'duct' tape use, but I have also heard folks through the years say that if you can't 'duck it', f'*ck it'... so I can see where the alternate spelling would be applicable.

Just tear a sleeve off your shirt and wrap it up.  And to clean it out, I'm with Ashlie ... spit works just fine in a pinch.

Urine, because the pH in mine is basic since I try to stay properly hydrated at all times. Wait. What was the question?

PS... Did I mention how good for healing honey is?  It has not only great properties of providing energy for the athlete, but it has awesome antiseptic and healing properties for cuts, scrapes, open owies.... I would not cover it with Duct tape tho, save that for the airplane and here in Alaska, if you don't have duct tape, you prolly don't live here *giggle*  The problem is not getting it ON, but getting it OFF.  Then you need the honey again for the skin it takes with it...
