Using TV commercials as a gauge, which insurance company do you feel comfortable with?

 I love Flo, and I don't care what anybody says; I think she's hilarious. But...that's not why I have Progressive.

They're leaps and bounds ahead of any other insurance company I've ever dealt with when it comes to price, coverage, and service; at least for me and my family. (I've used State Farm, Farmers, and dealt with All State in the past). We even checked into using USAA because of the military thing but they were even a lot more expensive for the same coverage than Progressive.

 I don't know about insurance commercials but those Onstar radio commercials always crack me up.......Is that bad?

 I stick with the local guys.....i know their names (and their moms too).......keeps um honest.....and they have to see me every week at the grocery.....

 GEICO commercials are funny, but they are not the cheapest (at least not for me).
Allstate is cool ... if only for having Pedro Cerrano in their commercials. 
Traveler's, well, let's just say I've been "red-flagged" by their customer service department so I don't think I'm welcome there any more. 
Progressive wins out for me since I think the ditzy chick, while annoying, is kinda funny.  And they give me the best rates for comparable coverage.

 I use Progressive, but only because I managed to get a family discount. I hate Insurance commercials more than any of the others (with the exception of the singing guy from FreeCreditReport.com)

as for making me comfortable, none of them do. i stick with the company that's bailed me out of two total losses in as many years. so what if they cost an arm and a leg or don't have a lizard spokesman?

 We don't have a choice.  Up here in BC we have ICBC or Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and it is mandatory.  They set the rates and then you have a few options.  if you are like me and accident free for five years, you get a 45% discount, one grace "accident" and free car rental if you do have an accident.  I pay $114 a month for my Blazer and hubby pays $110 for his truck.  Once my son decides to start driving it will increase, likely by about 300%.

 Progressive, I actually work for them and I know what the company is about, what it stands for, and how everything is operated. Also, you have to understand something with insurance, just because an insurance company advertises that they can save you money, you should have the brain to know that it's not always going to happen that way. Not every driver is the same and insurance companies base their risks using different criteria.
