Lions, Lambs and Holidays

Lions, Lambs and Holidays Photo
We are on the 3rd Day of March!  Did it come in like a lamb or lion for you.  There are a lot of things to look forward to this month so tell us your favorite.  Also....Everyday is a Holiday!  So enjoy!

Did you know that you can celebrate a holiday every day in March?
March 1: Pig Day - Buy your pet pig a special treat today (just make sure there's no pork in it).

March 2: Namesake Day (2010) - Show appreciation to your namesake.

March 3: What If Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs? Day - Imagine all the possibilities...

March 4: National Grammar Day - Make sure to speak with perfect grammar all day long.

March 5: Nametag Day (2010) - Make yourself a nametag and give yourself a totally unrealistic, made-up name.

March 6: U.S. Snowshoe Day - Regardless of whether you live in a snowy climate, buy yourself a pair of snowshoes and wear them wherever you go.

March 7: National Be Heard Day - In order to make sure that you are heard, ask the cashier at the grocery store to use her microphone and make your announcement over the speakers.

March 8: International Working Women's Day - If you don't have a job, go to work with your husband.

March 9: Panic Day - Don't forget to panic.

March 10: Learn What Your Name Means Day (2010) - Go to Urban dictionary.com, type your name in the search bar, and click 'search'. If there are no results, make up your own definition.

March 11: Johnny Appleseed Day - Eat an apple, save the seeds, and plant an apple tree in your backyard.

March 12: Middle Name Pride Day (2010) - Go by your middle name (only) today.

March 13: National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day - Who cares if it's bad luck?

March 14: Pi Day - Yeah, pi is 3.14.... But if you add an (e) to the end, you now have justification to eat pie all day.

March 15: True Confessions Day - Type a true confession in the comments section for all to see.

March 16: Lips Appreciation Day - What better way to celebrate Lips Appreciation Day than to use them...to show off that new tube of lipstick!

March 17: Campfire Girls Day - Build a campfire and sit around it telling campfire stories. Hey, that's not a half-bad idea...

March 18: Awkward Moments Day - Have an awkward moment on purpose.

March 19: National Chocolate Caramel Day (2010) - Yum!

March 20: Proposal Day - If you are considering getting engaged, put it off no longer - today is the day to pop the question.

March 21: Memory Day - Celebrate Memory Day by...wait, what was I going to say?

March 22: As Young as You Feel Day - Act as young as you feel.

March 23: National Puppy Day - Volunteer to walk your neighbor's five puppies.

March 24: National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day - Another excuse to ignore the guilt and eat those chocolate covered raisins.

March 25: Old New Year's Day - You broke your New Year's resolutions already, but no matter - start them all over again.

March 26: Make Up Your Own Holiday Day - I think you get the point.

March 27: Education and Sharing Day - Educate whoever is around about all the holidays in March.

March 28: Weed Appreciation Day - I'm sure there are a few people who will appreciate this holiday.

March 29: Texas Loves the Children Day - Don't worry if you're not a child, I'm sure Texas loves you, too...on all the other days.

March 30: Pencil Day - Sharpen all your pencils.

March 31: National "She's Funny That Way" Day - Every time she says something, tell everyone within hearing distance that "she's funny that way". Or you could just give them the "Look".

March 19: National Chocolate Caramel Day (2010) - Yum!

March 20: Proposal Day - If you are considering getting engaged, put it off no longer - today is the day to pop the question.

For a second, I thought the 7th said "National Be Hard Day"
#4 | 1639 days ago

I don't need it to be March 18th to have an awkward moment.  I pile up enough of those on my own.

#5 | 1639 days ago

today: pets with opposable thumbs? i am currently reading pet sematary and i don't want to think about this...

as for march 29, it's simply not true.

That's next on my King list.    I think I'm safe, though, being that I still have about 500 pages to read in "Needful Things".    Man is long-winded ... like the Jasonwrites of the literary world.

yeah, but if you try reading Cell where he is very brief with his descriptions, it's impossible to get into.

Wait an effing minute, you and Ashlie both-- how is comparing me to King a slam on HIM? Besides, the best advice I've ever read (and often follow) on writing comes from On Writing by Stephen King.  (Everything except being such an abysmal alcoholic that you drink Listerine and don't remember writing one of your best-known novels).

One day you're going to be reading MY books and thinking "I knew him when" beeyotches!

shut it jason....i wasnt even talking about her comparison. I was defending King's long-windedness. being compared to King is an honor (is it a honor because i just cant say that?) and you should be thanking her.  your long windedness is charming, btw.
