Im still not exactly sure who will win the fight. Roy Jones isnt as sharp as he used to be and his losses were just as bad as Trinidad's if not worse since he got knocked the hell out.

To be honest, I didnt watch Jones' last fight. The fight is 170 pound catch weight... so taking that into account who knows

I am sure exactly who wins this fight. Without a doubt it's Roy Jones Jr. Simply put he has the power necessary and the speed it will take to kepp a rusty Trinidaad at bay and eventually stop punching. He can beat Felix to the punch and Roy is still a great counterpuncher. Sure he's lost some speed but that wont matter against Trinidad. Trinidad stayed too far away from boxing during his hiatus and sorry a fight with Ricardo Mayorga is nothing more than an exhibition. The "Cure" is just that, at some point in his career Ricardo decided winning wasn't as important as getting paid and his fights show it. Bottom line this fight shpuld have happened years agao, I was one of the ones that thought felix would destroy B-Hop during the Middleweight tournament and we all know what happened there. I don't think Felix has a chance.

What? Santa's not real? And I was being such a good girl! All for not...

In all seriousness though, great write-up, Dragon. I can't even begin to imagine the outcome of this bout, but it'll be a great fight either way. These two guys may not be at the peak of their prime anymore, but that's just it...neither one of them is; which should lead to a pretty interesting match-up. I, for one, can't WAIT for fight night!

Thanks! Im trying to strike some interests to the boxing boards! lol. The whole MMA/UFC vs. Boxing thing is getting old and with all the great fights going on in boxing we shoudl concentrate on that. I see "Boxing" on alot of peoples lists here but they dont posts or anything. Kina like you Jess :-P. But you have learned the error of your ways... you are now a Boxing Jedi!

I find that as a possibility if somehow Trinidad hurts Jones early. But who knows. I wouldnt bet my money on Trinidad though. Although if he's a major underdog it may be tempting... given the fact that money won can be triple or more.

As bet Trinidad is a great bet simply because of his left hook. Given the fact that he's not fighting the impossible to hit Roy Jones he's fighting the should be retired version. He definitely has the punchers chance. Being an offensive minded fighter will also help. Trinidad has stated that he will knock out Roy Jones, he can, I just don't think he will. I also agree that with all the action packed fights we've had this year as well as the upcoming fights, the idea that boxing is dead is ( in the words of the infamous Mike tyson) ludicrous. I for one am excited about boxing again and can't wait to see this fight. I wanted this to happen right after Trinidad beat B-Hop but we all know what happened there. Still enough of a draw to get more than the average fan. This is going to be interesting.

I am not going to go out on a limb and say who will beat who, but I will state some opinions.  First, Roy may have lost only a step, but his chin has lost 3.  I seen his last fight and I am still not impressed.  As for Tito, he has been away for a while, but we really don't know what he has been up to.  Maybe he has been putting in some work.  Either way, these guys styles are made for each other.  I don't foresee a lot of dancing around, I see someone getting KO'd.

The last fight anthony hanshaw landed 3 or for shots that i was suprised did not ko Jones because your right it seemed like he would get ko by every clean punch to the chin

exactly! poor boxing they dont have any good fights. MMA is so much better. Alright I cant lie anymore even just to joke around. When calazage vs Kessler and Taylor Vs Pavlik are free Hbo fights because there are to many ppv I think that is a good sign that there a lot of good fights coming up!
