My rottweiler mix barks every time she hears Owen Schmitt's name. I say "what? what's wrong with Schmitt?" and she goes nuts. This is something we discovered one day while watching a game. The broadcasters were calling him "Smitt" and my husband yelled at the TV "It's SCHMITT, A**Hole!". My dog started barking for what we thought was no reason until we figured it out that she was barking at the name.

My basset just talks all the time - ask him a question and he thinks he's answering.

Those are just a couple of nutty things. My animals are all crazy (cat and my 9 year old goldfish too).

My kitten eats dollar bills, or chews them to tiny shreds.  I have to be careful now with that and important papers.

One time my sister dressed my cat up as a baby and put it in a hamper (like a crib) and forgot it there for a little while.  My cat has never been as friendly.

I don't have pets anymore.  My Basset Hound got stolen and I don't want to loose another one.  Molly (my dog) loved to drink beer.  She could spot one and make it tip over and lick it up!  She was a drunk.

When my youngest son was born he slept in a bassinet by our bed. We kept shooing one of the cats, Midnight, out of the bassinet whenver he was not in it. One night my wife calls me into the bedroom as she is putting our son to bed for the evening. She moved Midnight out of the bassinet, put lil man in the bassinet, covers him and steps back. Midnight comes across the room, jumps in the bassinet, lays down, stretches out her front paw to make sure she is cats leg distance away from him and snuggles down. The baby moves and she jumps out, waits until he settles down and does the same thing over again. Sticking out the paw to make sure she is a arm length away from him and snuggles down. As the wind blew, we realized that she was placing herself in a position to block the draft blowing though the room.  If our son cried too long at night, she would jump up and starting howling or pacing to get our attention.  Midnight was a great cat, RIP!

AS seen in my profile pic that's my baby, She Is more like a human than a dog. They claim animals are color blind
but you can tell her to go get a certain toy by saying the color of it. ( like go get the blue bug) and that's what she brings
back

Haha yes we have a 9 year old goldfish. One of my friends got him for me when I was pregnant with my daughter. Actually there's a story behind him too; my friend bought me and my coworker both a goldfish from Walmart. My coworker's goldfish ate mine, and so he got me a new one and we put them in the same bowl again (like idiots). Then mine ate her goldfish - so I brought him home.

Since then, he has endured chocolate milk, orange juice, rusty nails, dandelions, pennies, and I'm sure I'm forgetting more - in his tank because my daughter liked to give him treats and presents when she was younger. He also took a ride out of his bowl under the refrigerator one day (his bowl fell over). I had to pull the refrigerator out and pick him up, put him back in. He's moved 5 times; two of them 9-hour drives. It's nuts.

It's actually kind of small - normal sized goldfish you might see at a fair or something.

I had a dog that could open the gate. We couldn't figure out how she kept getting out. One day I was shooting hoops in the driveway. I heard the gate latch clang 3 times. Then a few seconds later I heard the latch clang twice. The I heard the latch once and the gate swung open and out the dog walked. Turns out she would hit the latch with her nose till the latch stayed up and simply push the gate open. Sometimes it would be too hard, sometimes too soft. But she wouldn't give up untill she got the gate open. She was a really intelligent dog, probably too intelligent. My dad got tired of bailing her out of the pound. She did it one too many times and he refused to bail her out. I never found out what happened to her. I just hope someone adopted her.

Goldfish are like that.... raise a crawldad.... but don't put in with goldfish cause the crawldad will eat your fish
