Exactly. I had to put Elvis, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson as the top three for their sheer influence alone-- and that was the order they historically appeared in. Queen too, SO many rock bands since have been influenced by them, and Metallica of course shaped the metal genre. Elton John & Billy Joel set the standard for singer-songwriters.
1. Elvis  2. Beatles  3. Michael Jackson  4. Queen  5. Metallica  6. Bon Jovi  7. Guns N' Roses  8. Aerosmith  9. Billy Joel  10. Elton John

This is my list but just the top two are really my tops, the rest are not in a particular order, I included Metallica and Guns n' Roses because I really liked them at their beginnings, then they became a little bit softy IMO. Luckily Metallica is finding their way home with the last album.
1. Pink Floyd  2. Queen  3. Led Zeppelin  4. Depeche Mode  5. The Who  6. Metallica  7. Guns N' Roses  8. U2  9. AC/DC  10. Deep Purple

Led Zeppelin - Awesome!  Pink Floyd - Excellent!  AC/DC - in the top 10 w/ most albums sold(Back in Black).....    What about RUSH?  Ranked third for most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums(behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones).
