Up to now, what is your biggest surprise of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series?
I thought I'd give this poll a try as its been quite an eventful season so far and we're only 6 races in. So which of the following (if any) have you been most surprised about this season? I just sat down and came up with this list off the top of my head tbh so if I've missed anything out let me know on other!

If you would've told me before the season that after 6 races Paul Menard would be 12th in points ahead of guys like Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch and Mark Martin, I would've told you that you were nuts.  To me, the early season success of Menard combined with the slow starts of some of Nascar's biggest stars is the biggest surprise so far in 2010

This is a good poll that I have over 100 answers for!  Going back to the spoiler surprised me, but it was a good surprise!  The "Let The Boy Be Boys" is also another good surprise!  I was glad to see those two things happen!  Who would have thought McMurray would have won the 500? I would have bet a million at the beginning of the season that  Kyle Busch would have a win by now (not that I'm complaining).  I happy with Jr's performance, but I am so ready to see him in Victory Lane!  That Atlanta Poll had me smiling for several days.

My biggest things is:  How do they stop the Jimmie Show?

Hire a driver to take him out in the chase every race. If he don't finish, he can't win!

Paul Menard is doing very well, hope he continues. It is good for the sport with different drivers up in the top 12.

I'm baffled by Juan Montoya's great starts and poor finishes. He seems to have pretty decent cars, but he just can't seem to get the race run with a good finish. I don't understand it. I don't think it is a matter of skill, he has had a few years to hone his ability.

before I go off on my happy rant..great poll John...For me it has to be the re-emergence of RCR. I love Kevin Harvick and I am happy to see him back in fighting form with equipment he can compete with. I said at the beginning of the year that I thought Kevin was going to leave RCR and maybe (fingers crossed) go to Stewart-Haas...and that might still happen who knows... I am just HAPPY, that Kevin is back. Its been a crazy season so far...can't wait to see what's next....

For me, there are several surprises, none of which I'm not happy about.  Speaking of Happy...I'm really glad to see him doing so good this year, just wish he could of held onto the points lead, but he's still in the Top 10. Juniors there, Smoke & Paul Menard. Now that is my biggest surprise. I like Paul & and always have. It's nice to see him finally getting someplace. Seems like since he left EGR, he has kept improving. I think the move was the best thing for him, plus he has Slugger Labbe for a crew chief and that helped a whole lot. The Top 12 needed a change and this year we have just that!

i chose junior in the top 12 for the fact that in his 2 years at hendrick he has won 1 race.  while johnson, martin, and gordon have had their ups and downs in those years, jr has struggled.  now jr is back with avengence.  all he needs to do is win a race or make the chase.  that will be a winning season in my book.

Dale Jr is in the top 12!

There have been a whole bunch of surprises.  I am most surprised, I think, with Paul Menard, but most happy about "Happy" and Jr's seaons so far.  Both are rebounding after suckfests in 2009 and that make ME happy.

I'm liking this season so far, even though Jimmie is winning far too many races!

Definitely Paul in the top 12. THAT FREAKIN ROCKS!!

Lovin that we are back to the spoiler, ecstatic for RCR, and  although not surprised, real tickled to see Junyah back up where he belongs

There have been a few surprises this year, Paul Menard is one, going back to the spoiler, some of the big names doing poorly.
To add to what has not been stated so far, I'd have to say I'm very surprised with Scott Speed. Last year unable to stay in the top 35, and this year went into martinsville being 12th. His poor showing there knocked him down some to 21st, but I have been impressed. Lets see if he can keep it going.
