serious---My dad

Friend---I did have a friend named Tom. We couldn't sit by each other in elementary school because we talked too much.

Fun---playing till it got dark or when my best friend Paul's dad whistled all of us home.

My friends that I would play basketball with or trade cards or go climb the mountain or whatever was fun. Not all of it was safe or allowed by my parents, but it was in good fun.

Not having to worry about a damn thing and if anything went wrong mom or dad could fix it pretty easily.

I miss it all, my brothers and sister,  the long lazy summers,  the warm summer nights sitting outside at grandma's and listening to her tell us stories.  the family picnics,  going to the creek, swimming on a Sunday afternoon.  Catching lightening bugs and june bugs.  Playing ball and other games with my cousins.  The big Sunday dinners.  Christmas was always a very special time in my family along with Easter.  I had a good childhood.

I have been drinking, so I guess I will let down the sarcastic gaurd a little. I miss my best friend Patrick Tafoya. December 28, 2005, I lasted talked to "Kegger" I still regret to today that the last thing I said to him was "I will see you on New Years Eve." I never told him how he was my best friend or how much he meant to me, how my life will never be the same. I could spend hours here telling you the things I should have said. But Pat knows all of them and I never have to say them again.

I still put up a Christmas tree every year, have my own for my room at home now, and my mother still bakes cookies.  I miss do-overs, going on family vacations with my mom and dad, friends from elementary, middle, and high school that I've lost touch with, and classic Nickelodeon.

i really miss my first serious girlfriend.  we meet at a program for under privledged children (dirt poor as a kid) and we both really liked each other.  we had a long distance relationship for 3 years.  writing letters, talking on phone and post cards.  seeing each other only throughout the school year (I was 16, she was 18).  And she was the love of my life at that age.  I think about her often, even after all this time.  I wonder where she is, but most of all I hope she is happy.

Little League and hanging out at the ball diamonds in general.  In the neighborhood I grew up in, everyone hung out at the ball fields/park and played sports all day, every day.
