The "What If" NBA Playoff Poll (Edited 04/16/10 11:40AM by qtowndogg)
*****UPDATED*****  (Please re-fill this out, as my original standings were incorrect!)

OK, I pretty much stole this idea from ML31 (with his permission), because I thought it was awesome.....  So, suppose the playoffs were league wide instead of conference based.  If we get enough votes, I might make more polls for each round depending on the matchup winners.

The 6 NBA division winners will of course be seeds 1-6.  The remaining 10 are the teams with the best overall records.  I'm curious to see how this would go.  (The seeding and matchups are obviously completely different, but it looks like the only change in teams is Houston would make it in and Chicago would be left out.)

The NBA doesn't award higher seeds for division winners, they are based on where they finished in the regular season regardless of which division they play in.

Yeah, but I did say I would award the division winners.  I updated it with Boston and Denver winning their divisions.  My bad, folks!

Now it shows me picking Utah to beat Atlanta, which I don't think would happen.

How do I edit it to where people can re-submit their answers?  Is that only on prediction polls?  Or do I have to delete this one and just remake this as a new poll?

You can't edit it to where people can resubmit their answers, I would just leave it though, it appears most people think the higher seeds would win anyways.

I guess I could do one with all 30 teams (but that would take a while, lol).

The results would be painfully obvious (the higher seeds taking the most votes anyways)
