Do you think Jimmy Johnson intentionally blocked Jeff Gordon at 'DAGA'?
Read the Article: Do you think Jimmy Johnson intentioally blocked Jeff Gordon at 'DAGA'

Four-time defending NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson took the blame for making a mistake that ultimately led to teammate Jeff Gordon’s wreck at Talladega Superspeedway.

Johnson said he was trying to slide in front of Gordon late in Sunday’s race so the two Hendrick Motorsports drivers could draft together toward the front. But, he said Gordon was coming too fast. Johnson’s move instead had the effect of a block, and Gordon was forced off the apron in a defensive move.

He's going for a 5th Championship. I know I would be blocking any and everyone.

It sure looked intentional, but if JJ says he screwed up I'll take his word for it...........this time

It's very difficult to say if he did or he didn't. I watched the race and it did appear that JJ "may" have blocked Gordon....but I was not there and only got the televised view. If JJ did block Gordon on purpose, I am kind of curious as to why he would do that.

It's hard to say. If JJ really did block Gordon, I have to wonder why he did that.

I think that Johnson will do whatever it takes to get a win!!  Even if that means causing his teammate the win!

Not a big fan of either guy, but I believe Johnson did just misjudge. Gordon was coming at least 10MPH faster. At that speed, running that close for that long it is bound to happen. I am sure once Jeff sees it, he'll still be mad that more caution was not used considering the experience Johnson has - but I am also sure he will say that it was just a racing incident too.

No i think the feud between jimmy and Jeff is fake to bring in the crowds.  Remember Jeff owns  jimmy's car.  (partly)

Honestly and truely, i think it was just like Jimmy said and Jeff was just coming too fast.

I don't think it's fake, unless Jeff Gordon is a better actor than I gave him credit for. He seemed genuinely angry after the race.

I really believe JJ was not trying to intentionally block. I thought maybe he didnt realize how fast Jeff was coming and tried to get in front and get Himself and Jeff to the front. But I think they need some excitement back in Nascar.

Jeff has been pushed around by 4 time long enough.   I feel not only was Jeff pissed, but will do what ever it takes to ensure it doesn't happen again.  As for being fake to bring in NASCAR fans.....that's what Danica is for.  Go 24!!!!!!!!!

I think maybe it was just a miscommunication between Jimmie and his spotter. Going at that speed there's no way Jimmie could have judged the speed properly. I think his spotter was probably to blame as later in the race they miscommunicated which led to Jimmie wrecking. NASCAR needs a rivalry and Johnson v Gordon is a hell of a rivalry (staged or not)

I think its just the way the races have played out,I wouldnt be suprised to see them  running together most of the race at Richmond thats the way these things  usually play out,I think its also good for racing the sport needs an old fashioned fued to spice things up every once in awhile and if they have a run in at Richmond Id say the fued then is on

I'd like that. We haven't had a serious feud in a really long time. The Keselowski-Edwards spat had promise, but it fizzled out in a disappointing way.
