Thinking matters a lot. William Shakespeare had said - Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it (Edited 10/06/10 12:03AM by Jess)

Which do you prefer :

1.    “Erasers are made for those who make errors and mistakes”

OR

2.   “Erasers are made for those who want to correct their errors and mistakes”.

What do the above two questions suggest and/or point at.  I mean, does it make you infer that it is something like being pessimistic or optimistic?

And what makes you think how you think?  Or are you an opportunist?

When in Rome, do as the Romans do - this adage has a lot to answer for my poll.  But now it too creates a pensiveness in one's mind - and does it not make one being an opportunist?  Change as per the situation and be wise rather than be adventurous and take chances with fate and destiny.  The more I think, the more deeper this poll makes me go!  Looks like a dead end for thinking to me!

I think i am more pessimistic.  I have to look at all the bad things that can happen if i do such and such.  Then if any of those  happen and i can live with it, then i will go ahead and do it.  If i don't think i can live with it, then;  no way.  In other words,  I count the cost.  I hope that makes sense.   lol

That makes you more of an opportunist, doesn't it?  You see the situation and go accordingly - you love to flow with the current of water rather than against it!  But after all, humans do have this nature more than any thing else!  So you have definitely put in a lot of sense to your contention, LOL!

I try hard to be an optimist but sometimes i have days I can't help being a pessimist. But I do know that Neutral works well as an all around shoe polish...

I think the first implies that people are victimized by their mistakes. The second admits fault and shows a desire to change.
I am pessimistic.

There is too much of a grey area when it comes to real life issues. "Is your glass half-full or half-empty?" I mean do you keep a "half-full glass that has a leak?  If you're thirsty, do you just not have a drink because your glass is half-empty already?  I just hope that common sense and good judgement will prevail in the end for me. "Sometimes it doo, & sometimes it don't"...oh well

I think a little differently...

The first is saying some people will make mistakes and others don't.  The erasers are for those that make the mistakes.

The second is saying that of those that make mistakes...there are going to be some who don't realize they have mistakes, or don't freakin' care about fixing them.

I think I'm an opportunist. One example of this would be my recent outburst over the Josh Wilson trade the Seahawks just made. I can't tell you how ticked off I am about this because if I even start to rant, I know I'll have to delete my entire comment before posting because it will undoubtedly violate the Code of Conduct seven ways from Sunday.

BUT - as most of you know, I have a jersey curse. I'm not allowed (by a few people...because they've seen it happen more than a few times)...to buy jerseys. When I found out the Seahawks got rid of my favorite (and most productive in the secondary) player this week I went ballistic. After my rant, however...........I can get his jersey now!
