A day in the life...
If you could do one job for just one day what would you choose? Would it be a noble profession like a firefighter? Or perhaps a professional athlete? And what one thing would you hope to learn from it?

I'd go play Hockey I believe.  I couldn't do anything serious, because it's only for a day, and really could I accomplish a lot in a day?

I think I would be a firefighter. I would like to know if only for a day what it is like to be so needed. And to know that what you do makes a difference. What could I learn? How to know that every day just what is important

I would choose.

I would like to be the guy who has to star rating for hotels!  I mean come on, you get to stay at the best places on the company dime.  You have to try out the bar, pool, and the gym.  Plus, the many other perks that have to go with it!   Just to do it for one day, pick one of the best hotels in the world!  Just have fun with it!

Yea, I know I'm a goof!
I would choose.

I want to do the job of the guy who sits in the penalty box at NHL games.

I know a guy who used to do that at the Avs games and was somehow fired.. don't ask me how

I'd want to be a commercial airline pilot much like Peter Graves in Airplane! minus the whole creepy KT thing he had going on.. I'd leave the intercom on while discussing with my co-pilot the details of my encounter with Stacey the flight attendant who is currently handing out the .75oz bag of peanuts and 1/4 can of diet coke..  Maybe sneak a couple of those mini bottles of Stoli for a mid flight beverage.. who knows, there are so many possibilities..

wine tester, would be nice to be paid for that and finally know what a hangover is next day
#19 | 1543 days ago

Pretty much anything where I:
- Don't have to wake up before the ass-crack of dawn.
- Don't get dirty, sweaty, and just generally gross all day long.
- Don't have to deal with obnoxious, pushy people.
- Don't clean up urine, feces, blood, and vomit throughout the day.
- Don't dodge fangs and talons at random intervals.
- DO get paid a lot more money than I do now.

Volunteer somewhere needed like in Haiti or Africa or another community in desperation of need. I could help hundreds of people in one day to make their life significantly better and that would be more rewarding than just working for a bunch of pro athletes that wouldn't appreciate you anyways.

I think it would have to be volunteer to make it count more. I really always wanted to volunteer in hospice. I think it would be awesome to make the last days of someones life more comfortable. I see people also in the nursing home where family's drop someone off and never come back. The smallest things sometimes make someone Else's life have more meaningful.

As frustrated as I am at the parents and my sponsors, I wouldn't trade my job that I do with the kids, teaching them baseball. How else can a 44-year-old guy with a bad heart get to act like a kid 6 days a week for 4-5 months?
I would choose.
