Someone brought me a freshly born kitten and it's leg was severed, it was under trash. I saw that it was taking it's last breath so I warmed it up and sterilized some scissors and cut the leg off above the knee. The pain from the cut made it try and crawl away then is cleaned the wound the best I could. I put it in a box with a towel and fed it warm milk and mixed an antibiotic with it and used a syringe with a rubber glove as I poked holes into it. I taped it to the top of the box so that it's drooping down where the kitten can suckle. I stayed up all night as it cried and fed it milk. I am hoping when I get off work it's still alive....That did it for me......

Watching Special Olympic kids, who know no hatred, bigotry or difference participate and love everybody.  That gets me every time.
#6 | 1548 days ago

the one that gets me most is frustration or anger. neither are common for me, so when it good bout of one or both comes up, my eyes will sting with them.

the sarah maclachlan adopt a pet commercial - you have to be a robot to not cry at that one.

ever since congress stood out on the capitol steps on 9/11 and sang god bless america, that song tears me up every time. sunday baseball games leave me a wreck ion the 6th.

lastly, i'm a chick. when i am having a particularly girly time of the month, anything can get me going. one time it was an episode of scrubs of all things. scrubs! it's the only time i've seen the show and it didn't just have me weeping, but openly sobbing.

I am a classic weeper!

Nah, I'm not a weeper, but I do shed tears from time to time.  When I left for college....my family and I lived in Japan and i decided to go to college in Alabama which was 8,000 miles away....I saw my father cry for the first time ever!  To me he was this big macho guy and to see him cry because I was leaving the nest, you know I had the waterfalls going!  He was my dad....6'4'' 250 pound farm boy who never cried.....until then.

I typically only cry when i'm angry, usually because i want to break sh*t. I can not take seeing a man cry!! Publix commercials used to get to me for some reason, and I can't even watch the Sarah Mclaughlin commercial.

It takes a lot to make me cry, unless it's a case of laughing so hard I end up crying, but that's a good thing.  As for something really making me cry, losing a loved one that I care greatly for and that I was very close to.  The last time that happened was my grandfather's funeral, I'm usually the emotional rock and I was walking out of church behind the casket and my mother and I were crying like babies in each other's arms.

Thanks, and Bless your soul. But, I got home and it passed. Was a very hard day for me. I understand my senses, so I feel things a lot differently than I ever have. I value life and have saved a few lives so I guess that has me looking at life differently. Nevertheless, I will take a life if I have to preserve innocent lives.

I have a few of my own and that's with the war on drugs. I lost family members and atleast 17 friends to murder by gunshots. I had to identify them them speak at the funerals. We don't get a salute, you get greeted by bullets from the police and the suspects. Then when you go to court they read YOUR HOME ADDRESS AND JOB LOCATION on purpose while their friends and family are writing your info down. They make us stay in court all day, lock the door and don't give a hoot what your plans for the day was. I didn't sign up for this, yet I am recruited.....shame

It might be because you stored it all in before?!?!   I grew up the same way, with the added needing to be a macho man thing too.  Then in a point in my life when I needed to be tough...it all just got to me.  Now, I tend to over thinks things for the worse and it also gets to me.

Well I just want you to know that you don't have to stand tough.  Your toughness can always come out in other ways.  It's ok to shed a tear.  Plus, I'm sure you look beautiful even when you cry!

I used to be part of the Honor Guard and being part of that team, it was my duty to give Honors to Veterans and Active Duty members who pasted away.  I had performed lots of funernals either being a part of the rifle team for the 21 gun salute, palbearing, flag folding, and the handing off of the flag to the next of kin.  I only knew there name and rank, I never wanted to put a face to the name.  I didn't want to get that personal because I took pride it doing the job.

One detail in a small town in Texas, we got the back brief that it was an Active duty that was murdered and we got her name and rank.  When we arrived in our Service Dress, the whole town was there.  They come up to us talk to us, told us stories of her as she grew up.  I love small towns, I wished I had lived in one.  Everyone had a story about her.  Half of her squadron flew hlaf way around the world to be there.  Before the casket came, I felt like I knew her.  I found out she was a single parent and I met her son.  My team performed the funeral like any other....professional.  The town folk invited us to the chpal after for food and of course we accepted.  We piled into the bus and her Commander come in after us to tell us he was proud of what we did.  Then as started pulling out on the way to the church...my whole team looked out the right side of the bus.  Her son had walked over to her headstone.  The headstone has a picture of her on it.  He told with his hand on the picture, you can tell by his face he was wondering where she was.  Everyone one on that bus at least shed one tear.  Hell, I just shed one typing this out.  I will never forget that imagine of him.

When we got to the church, we talked to the town folk some more.  I held her son, her parents said a few words and we drove the hour back to base and I have never heard a bus full of people that quiet ever.
