Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Good morning. This has been quite the eventful Q weekend, I only wish all of the "villagers" could have been in the same room drinking as it all went down. The people left here are waay too sensitive, which sucks and  makes me appreciate you all even more. Laugh sometimes people, especially the people who are stuck in the political and religious polls. I'm really thinking since about 4 or 5 people will not give up an argument, those type of polls should be avalable for 3 days only. LOL. And can someone please inform them that they DO NOT know everything, oh wait...we tried that, nevermind. Filter Error 05/10 Photo Anyway, it's a new week. Make it good. Remember not to talk to strangers....and those who think they are better than you. Also, if you know who to pray to so that my Hawks get another win, I'd appreciate that, and way to play Phoenix.

Good Monday. It was a very eventful Sunday, and the next time I have to go to my moms someone shoot me ok.

Yes I know you guys will draw straws to see who gets the honor of doing that.

 I never talk to strangers....

but i will get in their van if they have the good candy, and well after that they aren't strangers anymore.

My only rant is that some AC units for my apt are right outside my bedroom, and if those f**kers are on, i'm not hearing my alarm.  And I'm not going to raise the volume on my alarm to wake everyone up.  It's ok, I'm only about 10-15 minutes late getting up, but I have the radio alarm set to go off so I can listen to certain bits in the morning, and I hate missing those.

Long week of work, altho I'm going camping this weekend, so I'm looking forward to it.

Morning!

So I am going to the doctor because this sinus thingie has me fearful for my brain. Of course, I won't go till my school  day is over-------TESTING has come and I need to be there.

Nothing else happening in my neck of the woods. I do want to thank those (one person) who has seemed to pull me from my "no arguing" coma and allowed me to check off two things from my Q-Bucket List.

[Guy] And Hey darling, I hope you’re good tonight, and I know you don’t feel right when I’m leaving. Yeah I want it, but no I don’t need it. Tell me something sweet to get me by. Cause I can’t come back home till they’re singing. Laa la la la la la la till everyone is singing. If you can wait till I get home,
(I get home)
Then I swear to you that we can make this last.
(Laa la la) If you can wait till I get home,

I get it, Betty White's old.. Can we move on America?
I had a hell of a weekend.. A Day To Remember, Silverstein, August Burns Red, Enter Shikari, and Go Radio all killed the Gothic, and I left sweaty..  Oh and old.. you know it's bad when you go to an all ages show, and you never have to wait in line for a beer..
Post concert was just as good, but only got about 4+ hours of sleep then had to play baseball at 9am yesterday..

I hope all you moms had a happy mother's day

If you are cursing the person driving 15 mph in a 55 mph zone, directly in the middle of the road, remember, many folks learned to drive on a model of vehicle known as John Deere, and this is the proper speed and lane position for the vehicle.

I thought the secondary reason being that there are a lot of gravel roads.  If'n you are following a vehicle going more than 15mph down one of these roads, Y'all's gonna be needin' to replace your windshield rather often.

I’m the son of a 3rd generation farmer
I’ve been married 10 years to the farmer’s daughter
I’m a God fearin’ hard workin’ combine driver
Hoggin’ up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower
Chug a lug a luggin’ 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester

Three miles of cars layin’ on their horns
Fallin’ on deaf ears of corn
Lined up behind me like a big parade
Of late to work road raged jerks
Shoutin’ obscene words flippin’ me the bird

Well you may be on a state paved road
But that blacktop runs through my payload
Excuse me for tryin’ to do my job
But this year ain’t been no bumper crop
If you don’t like the way I’m a drivin’
Get back on the interstate
Otherwise sit tight and be nice
And quit yer honkin’ at me that way

Chorus:
Cause I’m a son of a 3rd generation farmer
I’ve been married 10 years to a farmer’s daughter
I got 2 boys in the county 4-H
I’m a lifetime sponsor of the F.F.A.
Hay! That’s what I make
I make a lotta hay for a little pay
But I’m proud to say
I’m a God fearin’ hard workin’ combine driver
Hoggin’ up the road on my a p-p-p-plower
Chug a lug a lugin’ 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester

Well I know you got your own deadlines
But cussin’ me ain’t savin’ no time oh ssh
This big-wheeled wide load ain’t goin’ any faster
So just smile and wave and tip your hat
To the man up on the tractor

Chorus:
Cause I’m a son of a 3rd generation farmer
I’ve been married 10 years to a farmer’s daughter
I got two boys in the county 4-H
I’m a lifetime sponsor of the F.F.A.

Its Monday...I got two Starbucks cards for Mother's Day so I stopped this morning. I ordered my usual Venti 8 pump white chocolate mocha...but the person that made it also added extra espresso or whatever they put in it. Needless to say I am way hyper and more ADD than normal. I don't know how long this is gonna last but I kinda like it.  Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

Oh wait I do have a tiny bit of a rant....

My co-worker came into work today and locked herself out of our network. It took her forever to get it fixed...then when she finally did she locked herself out of two of our programs! WTF?!? She was only gone for the F'n weekend. Her passwords didn't change over the weekend. She couldn't help customers or answer the phone so once again I had to to her job most of the morning!! Thanks for listening...I'm done until she does the next idiotic thing!!

Well my original cookout at the park yesterday was canceled due to my sister-in-law falling on the sidewalk on Main St.  Saturday.  She had to have 6 stitches to her head and fractured a bone around her eye socket.  She had to be in Winston-Salem this morning at the Trauma Center.  Something about the possibility of losing her eye.    Yesterday i was invited to my grandsons' for a cookout.  My youngest grandson and i went but it was so cold and windy.   I enjoyed it and had fresh strawberry sonka and ice cream.  Man was that good.  mmmmmmm  Today i am paying for being in that wind, as my sinuses are giving me a fit.

I told you all that i was expecting twin great grandchildren in Dec.  Well we lost one of the twins.  So far the other one is in good shape.
Be nice to everyone you meet,  because everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

So my Monday was not quite as traumatic as I had anticipated ... but there's always tomorrow (look at that optimism, see that?).

Now I'm sitting here with more time than I had expected, just eating some fruit salad, putzing on the Q.  Have my first softball game of the season tonight ... looking forward to another year of playing on the absolute worst team in the entire league.    Losing is one thing.  I can deal with that (as long as I kick some ass, whatever).  But losing EVERY game ... by 15+ runs ... when our full team even shows up?  THAT gets really annoying really quickly.  So I have THAT to look forward to.  And to top it all off, I can't find my damned lucky socks.

Morning.

Thought I was going to be sleeping for longer, but, that didn't happen obviously. Oh well. I had a dream that I was in Missouri (seeing my dad or something), and it was 120-130 degrees. I woke up in a sweat. Not cool.

I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds
Strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind
Pretend that I am weightless
And in this moment I am happy...happy

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here

I lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a back lit canopy
With holes punched in it
I'm counting UFOs
I signal them with my lighter
And in this moment I am happy...happy

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
Wish you were here

The world's a roller coaster
And I am not strapped in
Maybe I should hold with care
But my hands are busy in the air saying:

I wish you were here
I wish you were

I wish you were here
I wish you were here
I wish you were here
Wish you were here

"Henry Africa, 49, drives a taxi in Cape Town and ... operates the “Bright Red Tour,” which he expects to be a hit among soccer fans. For the equivalent of 500 dollars, he'll shuttle customers from strip bar to strip bar all night and even bring them over to a safe-sex practicing prostitute, a relevant selling point in a country where one in five adults are estimated to be HIV positive." ... "Even President Jacob Zuma — himself a polygamist, father of at least 20 children and an infamous condom skeptic ... asked the government to supply 1 billion extra condoms to South Africa before the upcoming tournament."

Former Kansas and Milwaukee Bucks player, Darnell Jackson, speaks about his mom on Mothers day (sad story): “He’d hustled back from Cleveland — his NBA home of the past two years — to his mom’s three-bedroom, 800-square-foot house in the Sooner State after learning from his brother, Evan, and sister, Ebony, that Shawn had died of an apparent overdose of pain medication on March 25. She was 41 … [this was] the first Mother’s Day spent without Shawn, who apparently took her own life after enduring more than a dozen surgeries following a car crash caused by a drunken driver on May 25, 2005, in Las Vegas. That crash claimed the life of Jackson’s grandmother, Evon.”
in 31 games, astros have been outscored 85-146. that's an average of 2.74 runs per game. oh but wait. we have been shutout 5 times and lost seven games where we scored only once. say what you will. i won't kill you, but i may cry a little and drink alone in my unlit apartment with my "go, go astros" 45 hissing it's way through in english *flip* in spanish *flip* in english...et cetera, and you will have to deal with that on your conscience. you want that?

So my 15 year old just bit into a chocolate just to have cherry juice squirt into her mouth. Where she spits it out looks at me and says " they really should put a warning on these things" which is great because its Whitmans and I get to tell her they do look at the box lid you dork.

aaahhh love those mommy moments.

OUCH.....I'd like to offer my sincere condolences.  If you need to release your frustrations and hit something/one, remember I'm in Washington and you should hit something/one closer because it wouldn't be good to keep such frustrations pent-up for very long...
