Your NBA Ulitmate Team (Edited 05/12/10 07:34PM by bradley1028)
I listed the best players at every position. Pick out your favorite or in your opinion, best players for your starting lineup for a perfect team (Sorry I didn't list more players, there's not enough space to fit all of the good players, so if you choose other please leave some suggestions).

I think Amar'e should've at least been listed as a choice, I doubt he would make anyone's cut, but he's better than half of the players listed at his position.

I think Amar'e benefits a LOT from Nash.    Not that Amar'e's (can you have 2 apostrophe's like that ?!   lol) not talented, but if he were on a team without a good point guard/pick-n-roll guy, his #'s would be down.

What i would do is put D-Wade at PG and Kobe as the SG... but its a toss up at PG from your list. CP3, D.Will and Rondo (who is playing GREAT right now)... give Mavs Roddy B. about 2 years and he will be in this discussion... CP3 is the best pure PG in the game tho. as long as he can stay healthy... What team USA is going to do with Rondo, CP3, D. Will, and Rose and playing well, only 3 will get picked.

I think that the choices at point gaurd are by far the most compelling; although even as a Cavs fan I would have gone with Kidd or Brooks as my 7th choice. There are a lot of very good young gaurds in the league now. it will be interesting to see where they will be playing in the primes of their careers. Most of them are on teams loaded with young talent. Unfortunately as the talent grows older the contracts grow bigger.

Probably yours, since you went with Kobe and James, but we have the same center. Would Dwight have to switch sides on each possession of the ball?

Well, we have all the same players except for Power Forward (Nowitzki instead of Gasol).  I would submit that that would be physically impossible -- unless maybe we're talking about a video game.  Then, I would take you to school.

I was directing that one at Kenne. We all know how much you like Dirk as the best PF in the NBA.

Well, PF was actually the toughest category for me.  But since I'm a 3-point shooter, I have an affinity for the long-range shot.  Nowitzki's not necessarily my favorite player, but I like having shooters on my team.

I would take my starting 5 over any team or players!

PG - D. Williams
SG - D. Wade
SF - K. Durant
PF - A. Jefferson
C - D. Howard

I think my squad would run yours right out of the gym. here is why

1. CP3 is a much better all around PG than Rondo. If Rondo can become a more consistant jump shooter/scorer he will be at the same level as CP3. but I dont see Rondo as a top 3 PG just yet, give him 1-2 more years and he will be. CP2, D. Will., and Rose

2. We both got Kobe
3. Durant is a better scorer than James, but James is a better all around player. so you get the advantage there.
4. Dirk is a 28PPG a night plus he's good for at least 9 boards, plus he is quicker than Pau and has better hands. Pau is a better paint defender tho. But I would take Dirk in a 1v1 game
5. and We both got D-Ho and Center

So its pretty much even. But it would come down to decision making by the ball handler. and I would trust CP3 more than Rondo.

I think my starting five would beat any five. D. Williams is the best PG in the game. D. Wade just love his game. K. Durant can score on any player in the NBA. A. Jefferson what can I say about his game he a beast.. D. Howard is just the best center in the game!
