Actually I'm in a foreign country right now. The accent is pretty thick, everybody has a gun and they have no problem deep frying vegetables and candy bars. Crazy, huh?

Jeez, too many to name here. All cultures are different and MOST of them are very peaceful and nice people. With that said, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but the U.S.A.!!!!

i went to france for two months last year and it was really different.  they dont have shcool on wensdays but they have half a day on saturdays (thats was fun :( not)  and they eat supper at like 8pm.  its really cool going to see the old war sites and stuff, tho.  even tho i didnt think it was going to be, escargo was really good :)  were i wen they ate alot of seafood, too.  there graveyards dont have grass, there always rocks (the only reason i noticed this is because i lived beside one :)  and thats all i can think of right now...

our wedding trip was to Hungary. my wife has relatives there. this was still during the cold war (1979) and even though Hungary was rather independent, there was a lot of Soviet influence. when the plane landed i glanced out the window to see 1/2 a dozen soldiers with machine guns and dogs standing around the plane eye-balling everyone and every thing.  my first reaction was WTF. then i asked myself a question. who the hell would want to escape INTO this place? strange custom indeed.

The only ones I want to talk about would be France & Germany (keep in mind this was 25-30 years ago)--
France is, well - France ... too many "wee wee's" being talked about ... wasn't really there long enough to catch onto culture -- but they did have street corner rest areas that just sort of drained into the street --- not that appealing if you were having lunch outside.

Germany's beer is much stronger, so those who first got there tended to mix it with coke (cola shoper - not positive of the spelling) -- even after drinking those, they made Bud taste like 3.2 beer.  Not many women liked to shave their arm pits or legs - got embarrassing when they had more than I did.  October Fest was a riot.  Euthanasia and "survival of the fittest" was very prevalent - if someone was deformed or mentally challenged, the feeling was to put them out of their misery.  It was strange to live around the corner from the local Nazi Party headquarters.

I went to Belize in 2002 so of course security was tight. once in Belize they searched me and took my lighter (I smoked cigarettes then, EWWWW, it''ll be 6 years without them in December by the way) I guess they thought I was gonna try to blow up my shoes or better yet, my underwear. Anyhow, the dudes were all militant looking and rather scary..I behaved myself and got loaded at the bar next to my super-sweet suite...

Our room was the one on the bottom-right......FRIGGIN KICK-ASS

Ok, well I’ve been to over a dozen countries.  Currently, I’m stationed in Germany and it’s wonderful in Europe.  Every country is different and it’s nice to know their customs so you don’t look like a complete bunghole when you venture out.  My wildest experience was being deployed to Qatar in 2002.  I was able to go off the base for some R&R so I hit up the mall.  Well I had to use the restroom, when I walked in the first thing I saw was a trough.  Most guys know from bars, gas stations, and pit stops in the U.S. that troughs are for you to drain the lizard.  Well, in Qatar if you urinate in that trough, they will beat the living crud out of you.  It’s not for urinating; it’s for Qatar men to wash their feet before they pray to Allah.  I didn’t know this when I went in, but I had enough common sense to see that it didn’t look like any trough I’ve ever been to in the U.S. so I looked around and found urinals.  I was spared from being involved in an International incident, thank the Lord!  lol

Been to 17 countries and all are different and have their own customs. I loved going to each country and learning and enjoying their customs and meeting the people, who have always been nice. Never met a rude person. But nothing beats living here in the USA. My favorites were the Philippines, and Thailand.

I don't want to insult anyone , but i just got back form the Eastern shore of Maryland and I have no idea what is going on there.  Just a very strange area......

I have been to Canada, Bermuda, The Bahamas, and Mexico. I have only been t these places on vacation and did not have a chance to notice many differences in that short time.

I hate this new laptop. I answered No, but I have been to Canada many times. Maybe it is because I live so close to it.  I also figured I had to check it out because We get all the cold air from them off Lake Superior! Had to Thank them in person for that.

Willin' Lyrics

written by Lowell George
© Abraham Music

I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow
I'm drunk and dirty, don't you know
But I'm still willin'

Out on the road late last night
I'd see my pretty Alice in every headlight
Alice, Dallas Alice

And I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the backroads so I wouldn't get weighed
And if you give me weed, whites and wine
And you show me a sign
And I'll be willin' to be movin'

And I've been kicked by the wind, robbed by the sleet
Had my head stove in but I'm still on my feet
And I'm still willin'

And I smuggled some smokes and folks from Mexico
Baked by the sun every time I go to Mexico
Ah but I'm still...
