Best Concert You've Attended? (Edited 06/30/10 09:35AM by )
I attended a Jimmy Buffett concert over the weekend and had an absolute blast.  I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know what to expect, but after tailgating all day, meeting some awesome people, and drinking some crazy concoctions, it's safe to say I'll be going back.  "Parrotheads" definitely know how to have a good time and Buffett puts on quite a show.

With that said, what are some of the best concerts members of Q Nation have attended?

Well Five Finger Death Punch performed here at the base gym a few weeks ago.  I didn’t know who they were, but who am I to turn down a FREE concert, so I went and took pictures.  The concert was a blast and they rocked live!  It was an awesome concert especially when the lead guy stopped singing to warn the Mosh Pit to watch out for the little kids.

I also enjoyed Black Sabbath when they were allowed back to San Antonio after Ozzy’s 10 year ban for urinating on the Alamo!  That was an awesome show at the Dome!!!

Too many in my life to say for sure.

I will go with Yes a few weeks ago.  Small theater, perfect sound.          Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.    I actually cried.  Must be getting menopausal.

I saw Randy Travis once...or was it Travis Tritt?  Can't remember for sure, but it was a blast.

weeeeeird i saw them by accident too. except in a drunken stupor, i kept calling them five fingered fruit punch

i'm gonna be a homer and say best one i've been to was probably one of my friends' bands. i have way more fun at those and spend a lot less money. dave matthews was fun, and blondie and pat benetar were awesome though

AHH!! i know who my favorite concert was! how could i have forgotten??? billy bob thornton of all people came and played at a local bar and of course i went. that freak is gorgeous...and not a bad musician either. about halfway through his show though, billy gibbons (from zz top) showed up and they started jamming together. it. was. awesome.

Come ride with me
Through the veins of history
I'll show you how god
Falls asleep on the job

And how can we win
When fools can be kings
Don't waste your time
Or time will waste you

No one's gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right
You and I must fight for our rights
You and I must fight to survive

No one's gonna take me alive

Theres 2 concerts Ive been to that really stand out for me that Id call the best,     Bruce Springsteen 1985 Born In The US.A. tour,     at the LA Coliseum,  I was only 13  and my very first concert ever.        other concert that I rank right up there with that one.      Metallica/Guns N Roses and it was supposed to be Faith No More to open up  but with cancellations  and postponments  because James Hetfield almost ded during the tour,  Motorhead filled in for Faith NO more and definitely was NOT a disappointment

Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, and Styx.  They performed in that order and it was one helluva night for music!
#40 | 1540 days ago

No, the concert was in Wisconsin at Alpine Valley.  I know he's having a free concert somewhere in the Gulf withing the next few days.  People were apparently taking the free tickets and trying to sell them on ebay.  It's messed up that people were trying to profit from a concert designed to help the current oil spill crisis.

By the way, I've always wanted to see Brooks and Dunn.  It seems as though they've had just as many #1 hits as George Strait.  I hope the rumors of them breaking up the band aren't true.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young in the summer of '74 at Old Dominion College in Va.

“Teach Your Children”
Five years after Woodstock, an estimated 35,000 music fans fill Foreman Field to overflowing on a hot day in August 1974 for a concert featuring Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Early 70's, Elton John.  Funeral For A Friend was tremendous.  Recently saw the Eagles.  Great Concert.   Rod Stewart still puts on a good show.

Highest energy concert I've every seen was Black Oak Arkansas.  That night also had Joe Walsh and Barnstormin'.  Concert ended with Buddy Miles.    What a night.

Some of my favorites were Sevendust, Slayer, Slipknot and Metallica on the Tattoo the Earth Tour at Giants Stadium. Skid Row, Ted Nugent and Kiss on one of their Farewell Tours at the Meadowlands.
I would have to say Michael Buble and Naturally7 at Mohegan Sun was the best concert I ever saw. Michael interacts with the crowd and makes it feel like more than just being at a concert.
