You never know who you'll meet in your dreams...
We all do it, I'm sure - dream of those we know and love who have passed on.

I've dreamed of my father coming for a visit. Last night I dreamed of a close friend. I know I just typed a comment in another poll that mentioned them, so I'm sure they were in the back of my mind as I drifted off to sleep. Always, a part of me knows that these people have passed on; they're not alive in my dreams. Sometimes other people in my dream acknowledge them, sometimes they can't see them.

Are those dreams just dreams? Or do they have a deeper meaning? Are they our subconscious longing for a few more precious minutes with our loved ones the only way we know how? Or are our loved ones truly coming to see us the only way they know how?

I have a dream about my grand mother when she was younger (50-ish), like when I was a little kid, but I'm my age now and she's putting a bib on me and then feeding me a bowl of crap i don't want. Maybe i need to grow up or maybe her disgusting cabbage soup still haunts me. I say both... btw, I think I just had a breakthrough.

I can't remember ever having these kinds of dreams, but I don't usually remember my dreams. I am interested in seeing the kinds of dreams others have.

I've always pondered the answer to the same questions. I've had numerous weird dreams, whereas many have came true, or given me the feeling of de ja vu. Even last night I dreamed of a certain Q member in a weird freekish way, but won't go in detail on that one. .
Pertaing to loss loved ones, I too have had dreamt of my Daddy and Mama being together and all attending church. Another time we were all together at the lake, and yet another one involvg the same parties but in a murderous scene. Many have awoken me in the middle of the night.
Sometimes I think dream are just surpressed memmories of good times and bad. Many times there are elements of the dream that are factual.  Is there some sort of psychic "reaching out" to us in our dreams, I'm not sure..

I have recurring nightmares about a crazy sociopathic stalker from Kansas, but I think that persons still alive...

Other than that, my Grandma pops into my dreams on occasion.  Every year on the anniversary of her death I have a dream about her.  The first few years I'd call my mom and talk to her about it, she had dreams about her then too.  July 23rd will be 17 years since she died, I'll post then if it happens and I remember to.

I've only had a handful of dreams I've been lucky enough to remember and usually they have a loved one (no longer living) in them.

The first was about a week after my dad passed. I was in my bedroom sleeping and I felt him come in and tell me ...."I  love you Boo." My returned response woke me up. I don't know if this was my dad sending me a message but it did make sleeping easier and gave me a warm feeling.

Usually these types of dreams occur when I'm going through something difficult or experiencing something new and exciting in my life.

Yes i think our loved ones can communicate with us in our dreams, but then it could just be any of the above.

Mine are usually just dreams about passed loved ones being together......maybe at a picnik, maybe fishing, or at church.  Something to be in their company again and another chance to tell them how much they are loved and missed.

I dream of Jim all the time, and they are usually the same telling me to quit grieving and to move on with my life. I think science would say a dram is just a dream. I believe I am hurting him for not being able to go forward the way he thinks I should. lol. But when I wake up I am always more at peace, but missing him even more.

I am an outsider, but still I wish to post my comments.

We usually think we know and understand many happenings in this life, but really there are many more happenings which surpass our understanding and I think dream is one among them (example, birth, death, purpose, earth, universe, milky way, etc)!!.

Now I have pretended to be very intellectual !

Regards

These dreams are remnants of loved one's left behind who meant something to you in your life. My mother used to say when she was dead and gone there wouldnt be a minute in a day for the rest of our lives we wouldnt think of her or something she taught us that we would remember in our minds. Everytime i get angry her words ring in my ears ' YOU CANT BEAT THE WORLD", so these types dreams I do believe in!

I do believe that there are times they are in the same place at the same time as we are. And I believe in dreams they are there
