I'll take nicknames for 500 Alex.
Pretty simple one here, basically what if any were or still are your nicknames from either friends or family?Does it have anything to do with your screen name on the Q?  Mine of course is Keebs here in lovely Niles Ohio if someone calls me Kirk(my name) sometimes I forget they mean me, that's with friends of course, my parents are Mr and Mrs Keebs but they normally call me Kirk or you son of a B*tch.  So what are and how did you get that nickname.

P.s Beans don't say I gotta "big package" beans... lol.

what is burnsey?
it's from an old barbara strewisand/ryan o'neil movie called "what's up, doc?" i apparently reminded my family so much of the babs character that they started calling me that and it stuck.

what is CT?
it's my drumline rookie nickname which stuck. they made multi-dimensional nicknames for rookies and we had to crack the code within the first week or we'd be beer bitches for the year. mine was for "constantly tardy," "c*ck tease," and i totally forgot this part, but i had a mad crush on CT from the real world paris at the time.

what is boats?
my aunt has called me that since i was a toddler. no one has a clue.

what is super77?
my rush nickname. also multi-dimensional. i'd spell it out for you, but it's neither interesting nor humorous and i'd have to reveal my last name which is yicky to me annnd i'm not sure it's quite coc friendly.

I'm called Scotty Mo by most of my friends, sometimes shortened to Scotty.

I have several customers that call me Cat man or Mr Cat.  (Has to do with my last name and profession.)

I was called "Spike" for my short hair... "Ironhead" for the intensity I had while exercising... and I used to use "Fruitcake" or "Homey the Clown" as screen names for video games.

I've been 'nick-named' more names that would violate the CoC than legitimate nick-names....

I'll have to see if I can remember any that I can share and get back to the Q later...
#14 | 1366 days ago

always been called by my last name in a shorter version " Tree" while the one's who actually get to know me call me lainey!

Doughboy and Casper are the two everyone remembers in my family.  I was the lil fatty of the bunch.

In the Marines, I had two callsigns, Echo-Five-Fox (that's abbreviated form of Sgt F......) and GQ (this one because I ALWAYS dress nice .... but mainly because I showed up for, what turned out to be a 20 mile "DeathMarch", but was supposed to be an 8mile leisure stroll through the San Diego River Canyon, wearing Skethers, Gap Jeans, and halfway buttoned flannel shirt ................. while everyone else dressed looking like they were PROFESSIONAL mountain climbers or something ............... I thought we'd see some babes <~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aside from like 2 in the parking lot before we started, Fn NOPE!!!!)

Well ... sort of ... near the end of my enlistment a few of my really close friends opted to add Memento to the list.  For years I used to write notes on my left hand (and up the arm, under my sleeve during the winter, when our sleeves were rolled down), because to say "I'm forgetful" would cause EVERYONE who's EVER met me to laugh ............ most of them actually believe I lack a short-term memory.  Well that movie, Memento came out, and ................. there you have it.

Since then I've had two ........... Joey Cuts and Plugs   <~~~  I have an uncanny knack for ER visits due to self-inflicted, albeit unintentional lacerations of the skin, including an ER visit due to "A can of green beans penetrating the right knuckle of my ring finger, at the joint of the fist"                      ...... and ......                   I do KNOW electronical equipment VERY well, but one day I let a buddy of mine help me out on a construction site (it just so happens our entire company was friends and family from back in jr high, so we WERE FN CLOSE).  Well, Sparky (that's what we called him, cuz he's a welder), had a superhuman ability to get dyslexic AT FN WILL (we found this out that day) ... and wired two wires opposite what I told him and a fn Plug practically exploded (apparently Finnegan, the owner's son, who got his nickname because of his love for whiskey ... reference to James Joyce's Tim Finnegan, happened to not turn off the Fn right circuit breaker ... even though I pointed it out to him) ................... needless to say, we were ALL, including the owner, Gunz (cuz he ran his crew like a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines), standing on a Fn flooded porch, because Finnegan thought it was a good idea to clean the porch WHILE I FN FIXED THE PLUG!!  LMAO   <~~~  That sounds absolutely Fn insane, but you had to be there .................. it was a 'near catastrophic' chain of events that took place in only a few moments!!!!!  LOL  The only witness: Tortuga - my bestfriend, so named because of his love for Herbal Remedies and the result afterwards

Cha Cha and Gorda (fat) my brothers still call me like that, but it's not offensive in anyway, a lot of people call their significant others gordo or gorda and they are not necessarily fat.
#17 | 1366 days ago

Kip, it was taken by my first and middle initials pronounced together. Only my mom still calls me that.

Kenne is also a shortened name that I use as my regular name.

Stoney.. From the time I was like 6 or 7 playing sports.. I'm still convinced people I hung out with a lot growing up and in high school still don't know my first name

and my close friends call me Doogie Howser and Good Will Hunting
#19 | 1366 days ago

my school years(k-12) and work years it was "Big Dave"-I was bigger (not fat) and taller than most people.
when I played baseball, my uncle called me "Cal"- because I was tall and played shortstop.
when I became disabled I was called "DL" by my friends.
on the Q I'm davonthedl (Dave on the disabled list).
my wife and kids call me "Big Black" because of my tan.

Nyce (an old stage name that I kept for web stuff), Fuzzy (grade school), Speedboat (in HS, hill street blues joke), Hendu (college room dogs), Canada... geezus there are more LOL. Nobody calls me by my real name, not even my Mom. Plus I'm currently trying to get Beer Snake to stick, so that doesn't count.

Kids in school can be so mean.  They would call me by my last name and add "pad" to it.  Maxey-pad
#23 | 1366 days ago

The only nickname I have that has stuck is J.
I had a few that didn't really catch on (mainly due to various character flaws that I, and others, enjoy mocking), but I'm more known for giving nicknames then getting them.

I've only had one and that was Queenie, given to me by my sister when we were in high school.  Cuddles i gave myself because i considered myself a cuddling granny to my grandchildren.

My coach said to me when I was a yougin..."You couldn`t play Hockey if your life depended on it!"

Delaney - when I worked at Sears, my name tag said DLANE
Sparky - I was the first female firefighter in m squad and served for 10 years.  BUT at all our campouts, I was the only one who could get the fire started without some kind of accelerant, hence sparky.  It carried over to our softball team.  I played ladies fastball for years and years, and when I "downsized" to the fun league, I could hit anything, and hit it well, so they would sneak me in just ahead of "cleanup" and I'd often hit a home run or a triple , completely catching the competition off guard.  They'd move in for the "girl" wondering what I was doing so early in the lineup (muuhhhaaaahhaaaaa)

Most recently, I've been called Double D.  I'm not explaining that one.

Big Dave! , My son is a David, Jr and when someone yells David in our house, we yell back which one, and most of the time, that want me, which is Big Dave! My co workers call me Grumpy and one of the interns gave me a picture of Oscar the Grouch. ( I am not a grouch, I just have time for all the extra socializing and bull puckey during work hours, so when I don't join in the "fun" the call me Grumpy!  "

OK, let's see......

Black Owl: a name given to me by a couple friends that say when I'm in a group I have a dark expression when I observe various things / situations / perspectives.  I don't look at myself in the mirror during these times; I just know that when I'm thinking about certain things, my surroundings seem to fade away.

The typical married nick-names that range from those that would be used from Ward and June Cleaver to Ginger Lynn and John Holmes.

Pettis: A name given to me from my participation in intramural sports on the NATO base in Iceland from some kind of an associative reminder of myself to the outfielder Gary Pettis.

Garfield: Given to me by a stalker in high school.....

****My childhood nick-name shall remain unknown, for reasons of annoyance***

In Jr. High my teamates called me "Longback" .   I was tall and skinny and gaucky.  Now I am refered to as Shi thead.

When I was a Teen, it was” Psycho Boy”.  It came from because of the way I drove and the temper I used to have.  I didn’t lash out at people for no reason, just when they pissed me off or picked on my sister.

A few friends of mine parents used to call me “Big John”.

Online, I go by “Martin” or “Big Asian”.

When I am home though, I’m used to being called “Runt” since I’m one of the smallest guys in my family.
