Will Dennis Rodman be inducted into the NBA hall of fame? (Edited 09/01/10 03:21PM by Scott)
for me its a no brainer, but maybe im wrong. rodman was the best rebounder and defender of his era! check the numbers, 2-defensive mvp's, 5 nba chanpionships, led league in rebounding 7 years in a row. unfortunately writers vote so they might find some way to leave him off his first ballot but he has to get in! what do you think?

This may be a no-brainer...but there are too many "Thinkers" in this world that f*** it up for the rest of us -
Everything you said has HOF written all over it, but I promise you, it will take an act of GOD to get him in due to his persona and acts off the court.  Let us not weigh his almost superhuman efforts on the court...this dude is considered a lunatic in most circles and so demonstrative he won't even get mentioned...and it is so unfair.

I truly hope he does make it.  He brought life and color to the NBA when it was most needed.  The Worm was a Great Player, No Doubt!
yes, he will eventually get in!

I really hope so, but I seriously doubt it. He earned it.

Are you saying that simply because you're a Bulls fan? Did you watch him as a Piston, or only in the later years?

He is a great talent. It might take a while or even not. Too bad he had all that other theatrics going on during his playing career.  He was a great rebounder and was on winning teams which makes him a winner!

yes, he will eventually get in!

I dont think that he's exactly one dimensional. He was a very different player in his early years. I think later in his career, Teams were looking to fill a void that included strong defense, rebounding, mental toughness, etc..so that's the role Rodman was chosen to play. He excelled at it, so it became his primary focus. It's what he was asked to do, and it shouldn't discount his career as a whole. I mean, Shaq is about as one dimensional as they get, and I'm pretty sure he is a future HOF'er. If he's in, Rodman definitely should be.

rodman was as dominant a rebounder and arguably the best one on one defender ever. he also could defend all 5 positions. not to mention he was as tough and physical as any player. he had that winning way about him, willing to do the little things, the dirty work. the guy came off the bench and won defensive player of the year. not the six man ward off the bench but defensive mvp. nuff said!
