Best 80's Movie? (Edited 10/12/10 09:14PM by Jess)
The 80's was filled with great(and underrated) movies.  You had everything from The Goonies to Ferris Bueller's Day Off.   The 80's gave us classics like Back To The Future, The Breakfast Club, E.T., and so many more.  I glanced over a few "Best of the 80's" lists from various sites and went with some of their examples, as well as a few of my own.  Please add any gems or movies that may have been left off.

In your opinion, what was the best 80's flick?

Spicoli is the best movie stoner ever IMO.  I always wanted to have a pizza delivered to class.  That would have been awesome.

Such a tight race between Caddyshack and Fast Times.. Yeah, everyone loves Spicoli, but where are the other Damone fans?

the led head in me giggles when i see the scene where he says "when it comes to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of led zeppelin iv," and then it cuts to a makeout scene with kashmir playing

(kashmir was on physical graffiti, not iv)

I went with the one that I'd watch if all of them were on at the same time.

Favorite quote:
"We're gonna have the hap hap happiest christmas since Bing Crosby tapdanced with Danny f*cking Kaye."

Hard to beat "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Caddyshack" though...

First of all Rat, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

There are too many good ones on that list to pick "the best".   But "The Goonies" is still probably my favorite.
