Sadly in front of my computer, either at home or work

Also behind the wheel in my automobile, I like taking breaks from the daily runaround, by cruising.
#2 | 1491 days ago

I don't have a place that I can daily go to...people always have a way to find me. That being said, if things get incredibly stressful or I need time to reflect, I've been known to grab some bare essentials and head into the back country and get lost for a few days.

I either run, play the piano (especially if I'm alone), or go to the fossil beds on the river.  When the river is low, I get reminded of how this world is so much older than I could ever imagine, and just how small my problems are in comparison.

Running/walking while listening to music totally relaxes me................as does the excitement and thrill of live NHL games at Staples Center.

Taking a walk along the beach,  amusing myself  watching the tourists and freaks along the Venice Boardwalk or Santa Monica Pier depending on which direction Im heading.

at lunch a half hour in my car with the seat tipped back just daydreaming and drifting.  at home riding the exercise bike in the garage.  totally alone with music on loud.

I go for a drive ... usually aimlessly and listening to whatever music suits the mood I'm in.  Preferably I have a fresh dose of Dunkin' coffee with me, and then I drive and sing my heart out to vent whatever might be building up inside.

Nothing better than tuning out, lifting weights, and running/walking/cycling.

Same for me, it's the only time when I can be alone with my thoughts, relax and take some fresh air.
#24 | 1490 days ago

Coaching the kids baseball team was it for me. Now, that's over so it will be a long winter. I used to drive my Firebird, but now that's gone, too (is there a support group for this?). Now it is just chillin' out with my kids.
#28 | 1490 days ago

My house is very peaceful, So in the summer I am outside most of the time, And when winter comes I stay inside.
All of my animals are very well trained and I have the best neighbors, So it is very quiet and peaceful

I would say a nice long drive is relaxing, helps clear my mind of the clutter or to just get away from ppl.
But I tend to play on the computer and talk to a close friend.

Right now I live with a roommate,so I do not get much solitude at home.  If I had my own place I would say it would be outside on back porch in the morning or evening with cup of tea and paper...

Now and forever it is always the beach......  or riverfront near my house.. The beach and water as always brought me peace!!
There is one other thing and that is a ride on a motorcycle, the wind in my face, holding on to your man, riding nowhere....
#32 | 1489 days ago

definitely my house,,,,,from sitting on the front porch, in the hot tub room, in the barn with the horses,on the grass with the horses,or just curled up on the couch in the loft or living rroom or bed  its very peaceful....the view doesnt hurt either!!! soooo beautiful here!
