If you had $5 million to spend in 5 days, but with the clause that you could not spend any of it on yourself or your family, what would you do with it?

With half of it I would build a shelter for sick and abused animals so they wwouldn' t have to be put to sleep....and the other half build a homeless shelter for the men ,women.and children in this area that truly needs help,i dont know if 5 million would be enough in todays prices but would hope so

I would donate it to various charities like The Boys & Girls Club, Habitat For Humanity, and Loaves and Fishes.  I would also donate a good chunk to my church.

I would give to charities, church, build a hospital for the homeless and those without health insurance (the ones that cant afford it) and help the veterans.

UHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, share it amongst the needy families in my area !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#6 | 1456 days ago

I would donate all of it to a charitable organization very near and dear to my heart. It is call the Richard Cranium Wishes Foundation, then young Richard could use the money to make all his wishes come true!

I have three friends in mind who I would give a million dollars to without question.  They each have been there for me through my highs and lows and deserve that and then some for what they've done for me over the years.
The other $2 million would be split between AmFAR and The Humane Society.

I'd become an entrepeneur and might create a lot of  jobs for unemployed people so they could feed their families and make my  money more productive.... and create more jobs and so on

I would get my friend a divorce form her alcoholic/drug addicted abusive husband, get her house fixed up, pay off her bills so she could have a fresh start. And give her enough money for her 4 kids to go to college. Also take her on a little trip to give her a break from her oh so crazy life. She has a full-time job and is sole provider for her kids and always there for them , but if she was caught up she could be work and be okay with a little cushion of money  behind her..
Next I would  help woman and children of domestic violence ,rape and incest. would love to open a shelter for them..

I would quit my job and travel to various natural disaster areas to help those afflicted rebuild their lives.

I wish all of us were that rich and could do all those wonderful things you all are posting, we could make a lot of people happy. I'll pray for that, it's all for very good causes.

I would throw a huge party. You're all invited.

In the last month, we have had several unexpected deaths in our very small community.  Of them all, one is especially tragic, as it involved a father who had fought for custody of his daughter.  He had full custody, and the mother, a long time alcoholic and drug user, had only minimal contact with her daughter.  Nothing can take the place of her father, our friend, but firstly I would make sure that she had everything she needed for a University degree, or Trades Education, as she so chose.

Next, I would invest in local properties that could be used to help the local homeless.  In the -40 temperatures we get in the winter (sometimes in the Spring and Fall as well) we lose a number of homeless people to hypothermia every year.  The facilities they have to rely on for shelter consist of one church and one otherwise closed and condemned hotel, opened in case of emergencies (extremely low temps lasting  a longer than normal period of time).

Thirdly, I would throw a Q-vention.  Probably in Vegas.  Invite all the regular Qers and pay for them to get there.  Book a hotel for three days (anything less would be too short, anything longer, fights would break out) with food and drink and entertainment (Beans among others ) and then send everyone back home to their normal lives.

I would have it laundered so it would come back to me despite the rules of this poll.

I don't think that will be enough. The amount Meg Whitman is spending right now makes 5 million look like spare change.

Well I am an old fashioned guy who will go out of their way to help anybody.  If I’m walking down the road and see someone that needs help, I stop what I am doing and help them.    So what I would do because one of my many favorite past times is observing people.  I would walk around to wherever I had to like the mall, auto shop, or to the gym and if I saw someone who helped someone they didn’t know…I would give them 100,000 dollars on the spot.  Then I would also give 50,000 dollars to the person they helped.  I want to spread that kind of love around.  Then I would go search for more people throughout the day who went out of their way to help someone they didn’t know.  If at the end of the day, I had money left over, I would donate it to the cure for diabetes research.
