Dance with My Father by Luther Vandross-----wasn't always a big fan of sappy elevator music, but this song really touched me and I could totally relate to this.

Then I go from the above to ,,,,,,,,,,,,Baby's Got Back------first time a song (I liked) mentioned my name when I was a teen.

Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning by Alan Jackson - reminds of the tragic events of 9/11 and how they must not be forgotten.  Country Grammar by Nelly - brings me back to freshmen year of college...great times!  Basket Case by Green Day because that song was playing the first time I ever made out with a girl.

 Oh gosh so many.

The Dance by Garth Brooks, always makes me remember John Kennedy Jr.
First time ever I saw your face by Roberta Flack, makes me remember JIm.

Center field, just always puts me in a better mood.

The song remembers when by Trisha Yearwood always makes me a little melancholy.

All summer long, by Kid Rock makes me remember my teen age years growing up in Chicago.

Anyways i'm with Jen could do this all day. But great question today Jess.

Styx: “Crystal Ball”

I used to like to walk the straight and narrow line
I used to think that everything was fine
Sometimes I’d sit and gaze through sleepless dreams
All alone and trapped in time
All alone and trapped in time

I wonder what tomorrow has in mind for me
Or am I even in it’s mind at all
Perhaps I’ll get a chance to look ahead and see
Soon as I find myself a crystal ball
Soon as I find myself a crystal ball

But tell me, tell me, where I’m going
I don’t know where I’ve been
Tell me, tell me, won’t you tell me and then tell me again
My heart is breaking, my body’s aching and I don’t know where to go
So tell me, tell me, won’t you tell me.
I’ve just got to know.

Crystal ball
There’s so many things I need to know
Crystal ball
There’s so many things I’ve got to know
Crystal Ball
Won’t you tell me please before I go
Crystal Ball

Don't Forget to Remember Me - Carrie Underwood

My oldest is going to graduate this year and has all kinds of plans for his future, which I support 100%, but he is still my "baby" (ssssshhhhhh) and i don't want him to leave and forget his momma.  Plus, my daughter is 12-teen and becoming more independent every day.  Again, my baby, and I am already missing her...

Same here for the India Arie and Lauryn Hill.

Also for me, a lot of the Funhouse album by Pink, Keeps Gettin' Better (Superbitch) by Christina Aguilera, and Where I Stood by Missy Higgins.

Call me Darrell Downer here, but Dance with My Father gets me too because it makes me think of my friend who I work with and have known for years.  Her father was killed in a car accident on his way to work a few years ago, and ever since then that song chokes me up more than any other song I've ever heard.

There are too many songs to actually list, but then again I’ve been in a crabby mood the last few days!  Sorry, but I am unable to provided a witty answer to this glorious poll that Jess created.  I feel that I have let Jess down in some way, but I will make up for it later!
