Football Central - NFL Game Day (Edited 10/15/10 11:44AM by sports_schmorts)
There are some real good story lines this week in the NFL. Not to mention some really good divisional games.

Ravens lead the Steelers 10-7, that isn't surprising the Ravens are good on defense like Pittsburgh. Gotta love the close ones as a football fan.

Saints have a slim 10-7 lead themselves on the Panthers, a team I picked as a Cinderella to start the season.

The Browns are actually winning today, 13-10 over Cincinnati going into the 3rd.

Denver and Tennessee are all tied up at 10 - If you don't love all these close early games, you are no football fan. IMO

Rookie Sam Bradford and the Rams are leading the Seahawks 10-3.

Since the Cowboys are on a bye week and none of the morning games interest me. I put my TV on Game Mix and am watching 8 games at once.

The Packers are going to beat the Lions by a fairly good amount, but we're not very good.  This defense is simply not good. We'll take advantage of your mistakes, but if you don't make any we're screwed.

The Browns are up10 going into the 4th quarter. Can they finally hold a lead?
#4 | 1389 days ago

Apparently the Packers may not even beat the Lions. The Lions aren't a joke anymore, but a Super Bowl contender (like many say the Packers are) takes care of them at home.

I agree the Lions are 10x better than they were.

Good Morning! GO Falcons! If you missed Matt Ryan and Roddy White in the last 2:45, you missed something really good.

And I hear the Steelers lost...I only wish I had called it.

Oh, and there's been no T.O Cinco drama in Cincy, so who's fault really is it that they are struggling this year? hmmm.

WHEW !    Saints once again pull out a win in a game where they played horribly

Maybe by the time the luck runs out we will have it together and be playing better , if we have enough non injured players left to even field a team

See the Dirty (Smelly) Birds pull out another one as the Niners fold up like a blanket again in the 4th

Hey! Ours is not luck. We should've won all of our games thus far. We just have a tendency to take time off during games. LOL. But we can turn on it when necessary. (and yeah, if all the games stay this close, we are bound to be destroyed by some team soon)

Seahawks. Ugh.
Mariners. Ugh. (Thank god THAT's over)
Colts. Ugh.

If the Ducks blow it tonight against the Kings too, I'm boycotting sports. For a couple of days. Maybe.

Does that mean you aren't going to be here and we don't have to follow CoC?

I couldn't even watch my team's pitiful performance today and kept changing the channel.

On the other hand, I am glad to hear that the overrated Singletary is in the hot seat and in danger of losing his job.

It looks like the NFL West just got even more lame by comparison to the rest of the league.

The NFL season, has gone haywire, for some teams. There are suspensions, very damaging injuries so far as well. Which is probably part of the reason. Also, global warming? ..... well, no, .... then again who knows.

The Saints won a close game, against a determined Panthers team, and the Saints had a very costly fumble at the Panthers end zone in the first half. They're 3-1, but, is this the same team? You could say its their injuries, I just don't think that's the whole story. I can't put my finger on it. The sports "experts" say, SB hangover. All I know is, If they're going to the playoffs, they'll have to step it way up.

The Browns won a very needed game today, a win is always welcomed. Although, I think Mangini still goes packing sometime this year. The only way he doesn't is if the Browns win, 7-8 more games? I just don't think this is who Holmgren wants as HC for the next few years. ... maybe I'm wrong. I will say, I think they're better than last year, not hugely, but, they can't help but be better after last year.

im jsut waiting to see a team separate form the pack, that team hasnt showed up yet. and hell no its not the chiefs even if theyre 3-0.

 LT is looking young tho

maybe jets and packs at the end, who knows.
#34 | 1388 days ago

The Browns getting a W can only mean one thing...The Bengals aren't that good/  The Browns offensive playing, outside of banging Hillis up the middle or behind Steinbach and Thomas is wretched.  Daboll needs to be fired but since he was chosen by Mangini they will both get sent packing.  Also, Mike Vick going down will kill the Eagles.  Kolb looks scared and Cutler was, well scared.  If the GIants d plays like that they will be a force. If they don't keep fumbling.  Arian Foster is a monster, and the Detroit Lions are way better than their record indicates.  And Shaun Hill, not too bad of a QB.  SF made a huge mistake and Singletary may get fired soon.

No thankfully there was no money laid on that assumption.
