You know what ticks me off? My mom's dad was pretty much full Italian and her mom is pretty much full Sioux. My mom is dark beautiful olive toned skin, and I don't think she's ever had a sunburn. She's fortunate enough to have the Native American hair (her legs don't get very hairy, and she doesn't have to worry about darker fuzz above her upper lip like most Italian women do). So in a word, she was blessed with the "plus" from both nationalities.

My dad was pretty much Irish. Light skin, burned every time he got out into the sun etc.

You know what I get?
I get the pasty white skin of the Irish. I get the tig ol bitties and the junk in the trunk from all 3 of them mixed. I get the thick course dark Italian dark hair (on the pasty white skin). I don't tan, I burn. Take all of the frustrating physical qualities of all 3 nationalities and that's what I've got. Are you friggin kidding me?

I'm a mix of Mexican-Spanish (we were called mestizos after the conquest) my two last names are merely Spanish, the few people that have pure Mexican blood live at south of Mexico, but there are also a lot of  people descending from Frenchs and Germans in my state.
