What's Your Favorite 30 for 30 Film? (Edited 12/11/10 01:59PM by gearhead)
ESPN's 30 for 30 series concludes tomorrow with "Pony Excess," a film about SMU football in the 80s. While ESPN does a lot of things wrong, most agree that overall 30 for 30 was a success (or not, judging by the comments here). Which of the 30 for 30 films was your favorite?

Loved "Into The Wind" too. I'm glad Nash made that film. I had a Terry Fox photo up on my wall until I was in college, then my brother put it up in his room. Hopefully my Mom still has it somewhere, I'm gonna ask her this Xmas.

The only ones I've seen are the story about NASCAR's Tim Richmond, and Oklahoma RB Marcus Dupree. Both weew very well done, and I'm looking forward tp the one on the Pony Express and SMU Football.

I have enjoyed just about everyone of them, some more than others. The ones that I enjoyed the most are still on my DVR, in case I want to watch them again. I have to admit that Once Brothers made me cry when Vlade placed the picture on Petrovich's grave. It is a shame that politics, a war and a horrible misunderstanding destroyed a friendship that had existed for years. It is also a shame that pride kept them from sitting down and working out their issues.

Given how many people around pull that crap and comment on things they don't care about, my temperament was short on the subject. Whatever.

Unfortunately, I missed out on most of these, but all the ones I saw were amazing. Great stuff done by ESPN.

I enjoyed the "Guru of Go" about Paul Westhead's coaching tenure at Loyola Marymount University (1985-1990) features his high-scoring run-and-gun offense and players such as Bo Kimble and Hank Gathers

Haven't seen that one but I'm going to make a point to watch it.  I remember the movie "Final Shot: The Hank Gathers Story."  Great flick, at least when I was a kid.  I'd probably find it cheesy these days.

My favorite is "The U" because some of my first football memories were watching ND/Miami - it brought me back for sure.

It's not a 30/30, but if you didn't see the college football awards, I highly suggest watching Lee Corso's story and acceptance speech.

It's linked below.
