The match up fans love to hate...

I successfully predicted both Championship Games. I figured the Jets luck would run out, and I never believed for a second that Chicago would beat the Packers.

I realize that some fans are not digging this Super Bowl. But really...I don't get it. Why wouldn't you want to see this game? Please don't tell me it's because they always win, because that is what they're suppose to do.

These two teams have a rich super bowl history, and that only adds to the pleasure of seeing them play. I know if you aren't a fan of either team, then you probably wish your team was in the big game. Your favorite team started 0-0 like everyone else.

I might not watch the Super Bowl...

If you wouldn't watch this game, then you my friend are no football fan. The two teams are incredibly good, and above that almost dead even in talent.

The Steelers have had one of the best defenses ever, and Aaron Rodgers has played as good or better in the playoffs, than Brett Favre ever did.

This game could very well be one of the best Super Bowls ever. In the beginning of this poll I said I predicted the two games right. That isn't because I'm some kind of Nostradamus, it's because it was clear who the better teams were.

Game Plan

The Steelers don't allow teams to run the ball, and if the Jets couldn't neither will the Packers. Good news for Green Bay is...they don't rely on the run to win. The short pass is very effective, and supplements for the lack of rushing attack.

Green Bay can bring the heat like the Jets did, but it didn't work for NY, and just blitzing the QB won't beat Pittsburgh. Big Ben handled the Jets pass rush as well as anyone had.

The Packers had trouble with the Bears running game. It never beat them for points, but the Steelers are way better than Chicago running the football. I respect the Bears defense, but player for player Pittsburgh is better in my opinion. 

Steelers fans know that missing the playoffs brought a hunger to their team. At no point did they doubt being able to make a run at it. Personally I never doubted them, just thought last season made them look beatable. But if you're talking about beatable, then Green Bay as a 6th seed is beatable.

1. I'm digging it, its going to be a good one.
2. I have Green Bay winning 20-17.  This is becase I see Green Bay scoring two TDs and Two Field Goals, and Pittsburg scoring two TDs and one field goal. So, basically I have Green Bay winning by a field goal.
3. As soon as I find out who Jake Locker is I will answer that question. For some reason i'm leaning toward bust though.

 1. Yes always a good time to party, daughter loves the Steelers.

 Hell yeah can't wait! You broke that down perfectly. Since it's basically a push with two pretty much "public" teams, I'm taking the points. Plus it's way too early to call, since both of those teams probably have some key injuries which haven't come out yet. (Personally i think Palomalo [spel?] has got something nagging him. he ain't right.)

****This isn't a knock**** As for Locker i think he's going to be completely average in the NFL, but on a crappy team with a high draft pick he'll be unfairly considered a bust. In the same way Tim Couch or Jason Campbell were. These guys were consistently middle of the road (15/16 out of 32 QB's statistically, wins-losses, etc.), but everybody always called them busts. Being "okay" isn't being a bust. Locker, like them, will be who we thought he was... just taken a little high in the draft by a bad team in need of a QB.

1. Looking forward to it. Think it's the best possible matchup. Anything with the Jets would be godawful and if it weren't for the Calvin Johnson touchdown catch that wasn't called a catch in week one, the Bears would of never been in the playoffs to begin with.

2. Steelers, because they'll score more points than Green Bay. It's the only viable answer to the question.

3. Bust. He sure does get injured a lot. I'm guessing career second stringer.

I never thought of Jason Campbell as a bust, and not just because he came from AU. You're right bust and average are often not separated.

As far as Jake Locker, I see bust all over this guy if he's selected as high as projected. He really didn't wow you at the college level. An average NCAA quarterback, usually doesn't play well at the NFL level. [exception being Tom Brady.]

  As a Browns fan I hate the Steelers yet they always make it to the big dance, for that I give a little credit.  As far as the game to me its a very good match up , the steelers have the advantage in the running game and defense,  Aaron Rodgers is a better pure passer then Ben, Packers Wr's r one of the best in the NFL gives the pack the advantage there not knocking Hines Ward he's the only steeler I like cuz of his style of play.  Im no genius or do I ever bet but if I did I'd say Steelers 30- Packers 24,  God I hope im wrong.. lol

  Tigerpride     , Cambell wasnt a bust in the NFL, the redskins were all jacked up during his time there, the raiders? they dont have a clue how to run a football team..    With Locker I was never impressed with his numbers, yet he played for washington so with a better cast around him you dont know to me its to early to judge.

 Should be a helluva game!  2 very good defenses facing each other.

I'm picking the STEELERS because they have a running game and GB doesn't...The Def and passing game should be even, so the X factor will be the running game

I'm rooting for the STEELERS because they are my 2nd fave team and BEARS fans don't root for GB and visa versa!

 I think it will be a great game ,I can see how either team can win...green bay has a great offense and a better defense than people give creit for ,however pittsburg got big ben all he does is win so it should be thrilling

I've liked Rodgers from the beginning and have never once compared him to Favre. Maybe it's just not in me, and this is normal. idk. Unfortunately, FAVRE made his name for himself and is hall of fame bound from his time in GB.  He will forever be a legend wtih the affiliation of GB.  Therefore and UNFAIRINGLY, all QB's coming through GB will be compared to FAVRE.........well, at least for another decade......Rodgers has made a name for himself and if he stays with GB for a long time, i think the FAVRE comparisons will go away sooner than later?!?!?

 1) I AM looking forward to this super bowl.. Two solid teams that just want to go out and battle
2) As of right now, Packers 20-Steelers 17
3) I'm still trying to figure out what Jake Locker did to create so much hype at the beginning of this year.  He's always been big and quick, but he's never been better than an average QB.  It's that thing where people fall in love with prototypical physical stats (height, weight, 40 time, bench reps) and don't fully valuate how guys actually play the game.  I don't think anyone should risk anything higher than a 4th round pick on the guy, so unless someone uses a high pick on him, you can't really call him a bust.

I am looking forward to this super bowl. Both teams are evenly matched in my opinion. But look for the key person in this whole super bowl be def cordinator for the Green bay Packers Dom capers! He was once in Pitts burgh as a assistant coah and knows the pitts def well. He surely can give some info to Mike McCarthy as to how to get by pitts def. Grant the players are different but the way they play is still the same. Look for rodgers to continue light teams up through the air and watch as clay matthews lights up ben roethlisberger because the oline has continued to fall apart on the steelers this season.

 1.)  I look forward to every Super Bowl.  The spectacle itself is entertaining, the games are normally very close and fun to watch, the food is great and the booze is flowing.  Any cause for a party is good thing, right?

2.) I chose the Packers in the preseason but right now, I'm considering flip-flopping to the other side.  The Steelers just have this aura about them that makes it hard to go against them when it comes to the Super Bowl.  Since I have no allegiance to either team, I wont be upset if either team wins

3.)  I do think Jake Locker will be a bust in the NFL.  Honestly, he should've went to the NFL last season when his stock was at an all-time high.  He did no favors by returning to Washington for his senior season.  Most "experts" have him as the 2nd or 3rd quarterback taken but IMO, that's only because the position isnt that great this year
