Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Morning. I watched Inception, and was totally surprised that I loved it. Good call everyone who told me to watch it. Someone has to remind me to set Modern Family to record on whatever day it comes on. I forget to search for it everyday, so thanks in advance. I may have more stuff but I dont really want to talk about it. Going for more coffee. Have a good day, and remember smoking stunts your growth.

im stupid. and for some reason that makes me mad. ive known it for years so why the big let down? ill be back with something more upbeat, but for now, just this song:

vincent - don mcclean
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflecting Vincent's eyes of China blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hands
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you Vincent
This world was never meant for one as
beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
A silver thorn on a bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will

Had a blast at the 500.  Rob is hooked.  Americana at its best.    If you think it sucks, you have to go.
The silence on lap 3 for Dale E was deafening.   Very emotional.

Happy Monday, enjoy the day off if you are lucky enough to not work today!

Happy Monday Q-peeps.  I ate at Mickey D's for the first time in forever yesterday.  This is going to sound nasty, but it's awesome....trust me.  Mix bbq, mayo, and honey to create the ultimate fry dip.  However, it only works with McDonald's condiments.

Kaner scored the game winner in a shootout yesterday to give the Hawks 2 much needed points.  D Rose looked good in the All Star game.  And  it 'twas cool seeing a 20 year old steal the show at Daytona.  I was rooting for Jr, but it was a good race nevertheless.

$4.00 for bottled water.  $6.00 for "ack" domestic beer.  $6.00 for soyburgers (like school cafeteria) 346 steps up to our seats.
30 minute wait for the bathroom.    Yeah, no downsides really.

We forgot our cooler in the driveway at home.  I think it's great you can bring your own stuff in.  Daytona is a great facility.

The federal government is scheduled to be shut-down next week...

Where are our congressional representatives?

They're "off" this week.....

Is it just me, or does this not make sense to anyone else?  Then again, what do they care--they'll get paid sooner or later anyways, and they have the money and "connections" to weather the storm.

ok, try this again! i'm shaking off this ugly mood the best i can. hopefuly it'll be all gone by the end of this post.

frieday was fun, saturday was boobalicious and sunday was fartsy. if you have an artistic/poetic streak in your bones (and have ever owned a dog), i seriously recommend going to see "my dog tulip." it turned out to be a beautiful movie and kinda museum-y laugh out loud in parts. golf laugh? anyway. while i was in the museum district i came across this v-dub bus which i geeked out over for a good ten minutes.

only word i have for it is trippendicular (thanks, zappa). the ever-curious in me is dying to know what the top looks like. when i was taking the pictures i was half-scared the door would slide open to angry residents, upset their privacy had been compromised, and half-excited that the back door would slide open, a cloud would come billowing out and i'd be invited in to have a tug at the peace pipe. neither happened and i was ok with that.

my mood isn't excellent still, but the uglies are chipping off.

Merry President's Day..
I don't really have much to speak of, but I did watch Mallrats last night (for probably the 30th time) and this head has been stuck in my head all night and morning

Weezer - Susanne

Susanne, you're all that I wanted of a girl
You're all that I need in the world
I'm your child
Make me blush, drive me wild
Susanne, you're all that I wanted

When I met you I was all alone
Cold and hungry cryin' on the phone
You baked me brownies and said "don't you cry"
And gave me the coat off your back

Susanne, you're all that I wanted of a girl
You're all that I need in the world
I'm your child
Make me blush, drive me wild
Susanne, you're all that I wanted

Even Izzy, Slash and Axl Rose
When I call you put them all on hold
And say to me that you'd do anything
and all I can do is say that
I haven't much I can give you in return
Only my heart and a promise not to turn
But I'll sing to you every day and every night
Susanne, I'm your man

Susanne, you're all that I wanted of a girl
You're all that I need in the world
I'm your child
Make me blush, drive me wild
Susanne, you're all that I wanted
Of a girl
YEAH!

Random Thoughts...

1.  Ive got toothpaste at the very bottom of my scrub top.  It looks like I used my shirt as a post-coital cleanup rag.  Im self conscience about it even though i dont think anyone will even notice.

2.  Just when the cleavages were starting to pop out it turns 35 again.

3.  You fight Wisconsin...not another day of school until they decide to cut funding somewhere else.

4.  I was picking a fight with the kid yesterday and she looked at me and told me she was going to be my worst nightmare.   She hasnt spoken truer words in her eight years.

5.  I spoke too soon.  Freckle-breast is showing TONS of freckles today.  Ill be doing a lot of standing over her as she sits at her desk today.

6.  NBA all star game?  Who cares. Daytona 500?  Who cares.  Bring on the tournament brackets!

7.  Speaking of which..we should do one here.  Everyone fill out a bracket.  Losers have to do something demoralizing and winners get f*ckawesome free stuff and bragging rights!

If you give Stastny a good winger, he's easily over a point a game player.. And when healthy Galiardi is fast, goes to the net, has some good skill and kills penalties and is tough.
I wouldn't be surprised, I don't think the Avs management has any idea of what they're doing.  It's a known fact the GM, Greg Sherman, isn't a hockey guy, he's a business guy, so his evaluation of talent has to come from other sources than his own brain or gut.
I'm focusing my rooting and caring to the Rockies from here on out this year

OK.....so given the fact that this whole season has been rotate a winger in for Kopitar, I'll chalk this trade possibility to "just talk." lol

Hola Gente!!

Happy Monday. I have the day off and I tried so hard to sleep in, but of course the latest I could sleep was 7 am. This has been the case all weekend. It sucks!! I have however, been sleeping really well.

So I am not sure what I am gonna do today, I have already cleaned my bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. I am gonna be bored if I don't find something...So any "sane" suggestions would be welcome.

Have a great day everyone...here is a song..Many may not like this song but it is upbeat and makes me wanna dance..

"Dynamite"

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes,
Saying AYO! gotta let go!
I wanna celebrate and live my life,
Saying AYO! baby, let’s go!

I came to dance, dance, dance, dance
I hit the floor 'cause that's my plans, plans, plans, plans
I’m wearing all my favorite brands, brands, brands, brands
Give me space for both my hands, hands, hands, hands

Ye, ye

'Cause it goes on and on and on.......
And it goes on and on and on......

Yeah!

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes,
Saying AYO! gotta let go!
I wanna celebrate and live my life,
Saying AYO! baby, let’s go!

'Cause we gon’ rock this club,
We gon’ go all night,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!
'Cause I told you once,
Now I told you twice,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!

I came to move, move, move, move
Get out the way me and my crew, crew, crew, crew
I’m in the club so I’m gonna do, do, do, do
Just drop the phone, came here to do, do, do, do

Ye, ye

'Cause it goes on and on and on.......
And it goes on and on and on........

Yeah!

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes,
Saying AYO! gotta let go!
I wanna celebrate and live my life,
Saying AYO! baby, let’s go!

'Cause we gon’ rock this club,
We gon’ go all night,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!
'Cause I told you once,
Now I told you twice,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!

I’m gonna take it all out,
I’m gonna be the last one standing.
I’m over it all and I…
I’m gonna be the last one landing.
Cause I, I, I.. believe it,
And I, I, I .. I just want it all.....
I just want it all.....
I’m gonna put my hands in the air!
Hands, hands in the air!
Put your hands in the air!

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes,
Saying AYO! gotta let go!
I wanna celebrate and live my life,
Saying AYO! baby, let’s go!

'Cause we gon’ rock this club,
We gon’ go all night,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!
'Cause I told you once,
Now I told you twice,
We gon’ light it up,
Like it’s dynamite!

yeah, I probably pay less attention to what any political person in GA says than anyone. I do know that it's Governor Nathan Deal, and he's trying some things. He apparently can't "save" the HOPE scholarship funding but i think almost half of the budget plan is designed to aid education, so that's something. I also heard something about re-legalizing the sale of alcohol on Sundays...and I faded out shortly after that. We shall see.

March 4th is hanging over my head like the sword of Damocles. Unfortunately, I see the shutdown as inevitable, as nobody cares or are openly hostile to those who will be immediately affected. My main hope is once the Social Security and Medicare payments are late, the seniors raise enough hell to make them compromise.

what confuses me is the republicans are sooooo far to the right, their idea of less government while fundamentally is a good thing, their version seems to be equates to less government = more power to the rich and richer. Gas is almost 3.50 a gallon.....suck us dry oil industry=the rich and powerful....the democrats are just as corrupt, but at least we may at least continue to have a voice for the middle class and poor via them...i cant believe how screwed up our country has become. funny all the people and industries who basically got us into this mess, are sitting back counting their huge profits and bonuses, and not giving a darn,,not lending money to anyone, even though we all bailed them out and saved them, they find excuses to still hurt us...what has changed as far as lenders helping people? nothing....if they cant screw you with a shotty loan, they will screw you by not lending you money to fix that shoddy loan cause they win eithe rway.. they will end up owning the whole mortgage industry once again.they can afford to sit on the foreclosures  and not help people. we the people as usualy are the losers....the people who carry the burden of the tax structure is the middle class...and it is the middle class they continue to pound.....sure ,each side think they are doing the right thing..but who is paying regardless? you, me, all of us just like us..the working folk.  we can not afford to lose our voice..we have already lost so much..all we have is our voice....  imagine if we had spent that 4 billion dollars that was spent on electing the  idiots who got us into this mess, and split it up between every us citizen? hmmmm wouldnt that be about 175,000 per person? wouldnt that have solved the economic mess we are in and stimulate the housing market, because people could afford to buy homes, cars, clothes, what ever they may want....but noooo lets throw it away on geting us no where ,again.........i dont know what it is going to take to fix this, but this is far beyond political parties at this point... ....the government wont shut down, because the republicans have too much to lose if it does, and the democrats will lose if they dont find a compromise.....we have much bigger problems than the government being off for a week......we have a country on the edge ...and people on the brink....everyone's nerves are at wits end..and the government knows this. untill our government has the courage and means to stand up to big business,,nothing is going to change..

I'm sure most of you know about the fight for collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin, but did you know that same bill also makes it legal for some employers to discriminate based upon sexual orientation and allows for the state to contract out its various energy sources in no bid contracts?  Its just a horrible bill all-around that has nothing to do with fixing or repairing the budget, but instead filled with right wing porn that only helps the elites that don't need it.

Good day, bitches.

It's been a long day, and I can't wait for Wednesday.

Had to go to a wake yesterday for my aunt's (through marriage) brother-in-law.  I don't know what that makes him to me, but whatever it may be, to me, it's nothing.  But anyway, I think his wife killed him and I'm looking for supporters, but can't seem to find any.
Obviously his wife is not Team J on this one.  Nor are his kids.  But I thought at least my own mother would hear me out.  I mean, yeah it's morbid and sick and demented and no one wants to think like that (except for me because it makes sitting in a funeral home for 2 hours bearable for a crazy bitch like me), but I think I made a good case.  Ready for the Q Murder Mystery?  No?  Well f*ck you.  Yes?  Read on.

Exhibit A:  She found him on the floor, dead ... she was the only other person there (both kids live on their own, over 2000 miles away).  She declined an autopsy.

Exhibit B:  (ok, this is a theory, but one that several other family members DO agree with me on)  They were both having affairs, or at least SHE was.  They were constantly going on vacations ... NOT together.  And I don't mean like a weekend in Kansas City to visit a parent ... I'm talking 2 weeks on the slopes in Utah or 4 weeks in China, solo.  She has been getting some work done every now and then for years (facelifts, lipo, etc.) and since they seemed to be, to say the least, disinterested in each other all the time, I doubt it was to keep her husband happy.  Mmm hmm.

Exhibit C:  Not a tear at the wake ... and this was supposed to be a very sudden thing.

Exhibit D:  She claimed it wasn't "hitting her" yet because she was heavily medicated.  Yet she was completely lucid, chatting it up, talking about the past/present/future with no problem whatsoever.  Plus, the only time she would have had to see a doctor, get the 'scripts, and get these "medications" from the pharmacy would have been during a small window of time (yes I subtly interviewed every family member to get a mental timeline of her whereabouts from the time he died until the present ... anyone would have done the same ... ok, any crazy person would have done the same) Sunday morning before the wake, between approximately 9:45am-11:30am.  Doesn't leave a lot of time for a doctor's appointment, filling a prescription, AND taking the pills/letting them take effect since I saw her at the wake at 2pm.  On a SUNDAY, no less.  Uh huh.  Follow me?  Yeah.

Exhibit E:  I said so.

Thoughts?

It's raining, and I'm kindof happy about it.  I wish the thunder and lightning would start.  That's just a month or so off, I guess.

Planning on  going to see the Nashville Predators play, either agains the  Dallas Stars or the Detroit Redwings.  Either way, I plan on putting the crazy eyes hex on the opposing team...guaranteeing that Predators fans everywhere will be entertained by their opposition committing numerous penalties, skating like amatuers, and forgetting where their goal is.  Good times are in store.  I'm hoping to sit near the Preds bench this time around, just for the experience.

only word i have for it is trippendicular (thanks, zappa). the ever-curious in me is dying to know what the top looks like. when i was taking the pictures i was half-scared the door would slide open to angry residents, upset their privacy had been compromised, and half-excited that the back door would slide open, a cloud would come billowing out and i'd be invited in to have a tug at the peace pipe. neither happened and i was ok with that.

Hello out there in FanIQ Land!  I found out I may not be getting extra pay for training, and I'd like to strangle the prissypants who promised we'd get it.  Don't make promises you can't keep!  If I don't get something for all I've done, I'm telling her to find someone else to do her training.  The NHL trade winds have made their way to Pittsburgh.  Ray Shero has started working his magic.  Alex Goligoski has been sent to Dallas.  In exchange the Pens get defensman Matt Niskanen and forward James Neal.  I'll miss Go-Go, but Neal has at least 20 goals in his first 3 years in the NHL.  They're both young, so maybe we can keep him for a few years.  I call this a win for the Pens.  More trades will follow, I'm sure.

BK over and out...for the time being.
