The Q back then
There are some Qers who've been here longer than me. No I'm not trying to figure out who's been here the longest, although it'd be cool if your profile showed the date it was created. No this poll isn't about who's been here longer. It's simply a chance to look back on where we came from, but also where we go from here.
Remember me?
There's probably close to 20 people who I could remember here, but there are a few who left their mark not in the sand, but in cement.
Mooser58 - If you were around two years ago you knew the Moose. In a time when respects were unlimited nobody got more than this guy. I truly believe the limit on respects came from his domination of top comment.
Super-Star Jim - One of them most friendly people you'd ever meet online, and I'm sure those who knew Jim in real life was blessed to have done so. Jim has passed away and has no chance of rejoining our community. He might be gone, but I will never forget a true Super Star.
Topnach - Former Q member most likely to turn mad-man killer...yep that was Nach. Remember his girlfriend greeneyes? Yes the one he defended post for post like a fourth grader in love. This guy pushed the limits of the CoC routinely, and eventually that was his demise. He truly was good Q company. Outlandish but funny.
Wordsmith - When I first found the Q I met wordsmith, but I didn't like him very much at all. I found him to be provoking, semi-rude, and somewhat close minded. I'd later find him to be totally different than I originally thought. He was the only Qer I've ever spoken with by phone. Devoted Steelers fan, and one helluva guy.
Nader - I thought this guy was named after Ralph Nader, but later figured out it was something different. He was another super friendly person. He remembered birthdays and always made polls for the occasion. I always wonder if he didn't fly on the wrong side, but nevertheless he was one cool dude.
Angry man - He was nothing like him name indicated. My memory is failing me with this guy, but he was very active among our community, and both he and his wife were awesome members to the Q family.
The old Q
When I first got here the poll topics were more controversial. The replies were just as thought provoking as the subject matter itself. There were often topics discussed I didn't want to take part in, but then remembering I was glad that I did. Some of the polls were even educational, or brought to light issues I hadn't paid proper attention to. I can remember things being talked about that wasn't that easy to discuss. Poll topics were just stronger back then. The locker room has changed.
The New Fan IQ
Today we've been given parts of the old Fan IQ back, articles, hotlinks, and other neat changes. It reminded me of the old Q when I saw it. The best part of the new Fan IQ is the social links bringing fans into the sports bar. That was the most beneficial move the site has ever made.
Where do we go from here?
I have asked Jess to create some kind of NCAA tourney bracket, and she thinks it might be possible. I'd love to see more fantasy games for Q points in the future. Not having to go to other sports sites would make this one better. (I will be holding another league at CBS Sportsline again this year.)
New or Not so Much
Kenne who goes back as far as anyone on the old list finally became a moderator. Good move by the site there. I've seen him take time away recently, but there is nobody more devoted to the Q than Kenne.
Filter Error - The best ongoing poll on the site. This poll gives the Qer a chance to discuss a topic, create a topic, post a photo, or express yourself creatively.
Marcus - One of the funniest members of the site. Even when he's not trying to be, I often find his replies humorous. I can tell you this....He knows things!
Janet - One of the, if not the most creative poll makers. She comes up with some of the strangest, but creative add you photo here polls, or take this quiz poll. she's a true benefit to the site.
Go Texans - Leigh and Jan...These are 2 awesome people who share an interest in the Texans. They both deserve a shout-out and Go Houston.

The future of the Q
The community is lead by Jess, the most powerful figure in the universe. It's because of Jess that I'm back among the best sports site in the business. I don't have any Nostradamus outlooks on the future of the site, but I know without a doubt Jess will do everything in her power to move the site forward in a positive directions. Seeing another sports site fold because of the people in charge. I know this site under Jess is going places.
