6th grade - My buddy was sitting at his desk(one where the seat was attached to the desk) crouched in a catchers position with his backpack on.  We were waiting for the bell to ring and go home.  Anyways, another kid in our class had his back to my friend talking to someone else.  For whatever reason, he turned around to say something to my buddy.  He barely touched him with his elbow upon turning around, but my buddy being in the position he was with backpack on, had no chance.  His momentum knocked him backwards.  He fell into this giant bookcase(with literally hundreds of books, magazines, etc), the bookcase knocked over a computer desk, and the computer desk knocked over this indoor greenhouse thus shattering all the glass.  My buddy gets up and simply says "my bad."  It literally looked like a tornado tore thru half the room.  I'm LMAO just thinking about it.

Picture it, Michigan 1987, second grade. I was running my mouth to a kid that was much bigger than me and he must have had enough of my b.s because he picked me up and threw me. I landed on my shoulder and broke my collar bone. Didn't tell anyone about it, just walked around with a limp arm the rest of the day. Dad just put my arm in a sling and called it good, it wasn't until mom got home that night that it was decided (by her) that I'd have to go to the E.R the next day. I didn't cry until we had to put the brace on in the doctors office, it hurt like hell and I've hated doctors ever since.

I could also talk about the time I threw up on my best friend while we were on the school bus but I think I'll keep that one to myself.

I had a weird dream a couple of days ago,,  thinking how much mischief i used to get in when i was in the 2nd grade, me and my oldest and first friend decided to re-enact west side story- 2nd graders were the JETS and the 3rd graders were the SHARKS- it came out to be an even fight but the principal and our teachers lit into our tails,,, it was one mass riot and we were only 8 & 9 years old

I don't remember what grade it was... maybe 4th or 5th. It was lunch time and someone had said something so funny that it made milk come out of my nose and onto some chocolate/nut/whatever dessert cluster thing we had.

The funny part was when the class bully decided he was going to walk up behind me, reach over, and put his finger in it and ask: "Do you want that?" To which I said: "Nope. It's all yours buddy."

Running away from home because I didn't want to give an oral book report. The police picked me up the third night sleeping on a bench in the train station in Chicago. CPD put me on a train back to Kokomo, Indiana the next day where my parents and the local sheriff were waiting for me. I was eleven years old.....wasn't all bad I took in a Cubs game

In 4th grade the girl who sat next to me (the desks were connected in the shape of a squared "U") in math class turned and threw up all over me. I freaked out and ran to the back of the room and then I got in trouble for my reaction because it "made her feel bad"- Would it surprise you to know that this was at a Catholic School? Probably not. I can still remember exactly what the pile of puke looked like, and the smell was similar to stale blueberry muffins.

Other memories I have that are all blurred into one are the numerous knuckle whippings with a ruler I took for one reason or another from the nun's. From that point on I was convinced if God didn't give a sh*t about me, why should I about him. But hey, at least I wasn't diddled by a priest, so I got that going for me.

The day  in March of 6th grade that Ralph G. gave me this little slip of paper saying, "will you go to the prom with me?", because he said he was afraid someone else would ask before June came.   I was so happy the way he said that, that I wound up saying yes.   We went to the prom and afterwards we were going to walk to this nearby arcade but the poor guy's shoes were so tight and uncomfortable, (1970's style),  that my mom drove us to meet up with our friends, since his mom wasn't home.   Thinking back, it's kind of  funny.

Standing up to a bully that was 2 years older than me, I remember grabbing him by the shirt and throwing him, against a wall.  I have no idea how this scrawny frame of a person (me at the time) actually picked up this guy but it happened.  Any who bullies a kid in the bathroom????  Jealousy perhaps

I cut first grade during reading group because I could read when I was four and I was SICK of Dick and Jane.  (Haha, I said...oh n/m).  Anyway.  I was apparently gone a lot longer this time than I was the other times I cut reading group (I always asked for the hall pass to go to the bathroom) because my teacher came looking for me, and I tried to duck into the bathroom.  She saw me.  Called my mom.  I was a carpool kid, so I got beat the whole way home.

Let's Just Say That My Elementary School Years Weren't Really Memorable...
I don't want to play

I remember in kindergarten, one of the boys in our class had an "accident" because he thought the toilet was still "broken" (it had been the week before).  To this day, whenever I look at my HIGH SCHOOL yearbook and see his picture, all I can think of is "That kid wet his pants in kindergarten".

...and this one time, at band camp...oh..wait...that's a post for another poll

The day that my, very sexy, 8th grade teacher lost two of her buttons on her blouse......I know it sounds perverted but I had a total crush on her and when that happened, I got a sneak, quick view of her goods.

I was extremely happy when I was NOT picked to go up to the chalk board to answer the math questions......that would of been really embarrassing

I remember peeing my pants in kindergarten because my mom thought corduroy overalls were a hot look for a 5 year-old and I didn't know how to undo the clasps that held them up.
By the time I realized I needed help, it was too late.  Time to let go and let God.  I still remember I had to wear the school's "back-up clothes" until they cleaned mine (some random elastic-y pants and a Sylvester the Cat t-shirt).

My best memory was in third grade and my first boyfriend.  His name was Tommy.

Too funny. Tell the truth, did you pretend you couldn't figure out the clasps and piss your pants just so you could wear the back-up clothes?

My best memory is probably a 5th grade field trip to Gloucester, Massachusetts for a whale watch. We had been studying whales for so long that it was really cool to finally see a couple of humpbacks up close

My next door neighbors and my brother's and my best friends were Japanese.  There were 3 boys and one girl.  When I was in grade 3, the second boy, Casey, started kindergarten and another boy in my class called him a "chink" and pulled him off the monkey bars.  I punched him in the mouth and made him bleed.  I got the strap, my parents were called, and I got into all kinds of trouble.  They told me I had to apologize for punching him, but I said no, I wasn't sorry because he was a racist and I'd punch him again. (I did, for the same reason, but that was in the empty lot across the back alley)
