This was DD highway & Elk River in Noel,Mo. April 25th,2011 . At the end of this road is my hubby's work. This river's edge is normally 15 to 20 ft to the water from the side of the road- NOT ON THIS DAY! By the next morning the river was down back in the bank where it's suppost to be.An ice freezer from a local gas station was found on the other side of the river.I'm so thankful that I live on a mountain top ! My hubby had a good excuse why he didn't show up for work!

#2 \| 784 days ago BikerBaby (+)	We had 4 days of straight rain,hail & alot of lightening.Noel is part of the Ozarks.We were planning a Sweet 16 party for my daughter at the local park-yeah!Underwater Park!LOLOL There's alot of natural underground springs & the extra rainfall !We needed the rain but not all at once!Day & nite of raining nonstop- we got water logged -as we stood there on the highway it was still rising.We still had a great party -all dry! In a nice warm house-free of water! :)! 69

#4 \| 784 days ago Oddfool (+)	What? You mean he couldn't just go along that river bank there on the side of the road? (er, I mean along the side of the road...It looks like high ground to me.) Seriously, I'm glad he didn't make any foolish attempts to go through that. I often see idiots here who would try to go through something like that. Stay safe.

#5 \| 784 days ago beach_pirate (+)	This is a common site in Evansville these days. We're on our 9th straight day of heavy rain, hail and tornados. As of this morning, 53 roads are closed in the county due to flooding. I think its safe to refer to the Ohio River as the Ohio Ocean this week.

#9 \| 778 days ago BikerBaby (+)	The sign- down the road is 5 ft tall where the water is to it is 4 ft. Has some big catfish in it ! Makes me wanna go fishing .But the water is back where it belongs.Kids are back in school & everyone is drying out from the damage. 69
