What is the best team in each division? (part 5 of 5: Divisional Finals)
Last week a series of polls asked for the public opinion on the best pro sport team in each U.S. state. This poll will take the leading team from each state, plus two divisional wild-cards based on 2nd place.

States that have more teams were given priority with wild card selections as the math percentage is skewed in larger groups, based on standard deviation.

Current record also played a factor over vote percentage when deciding. The Indians were chosen as a wild-card over the Tigers due to a better current record.

The Washington representative has been substituted by former resident Thunder.

The fact that the Suns are on here and the Mavericks aren't is making me re-think how this entire round is done. I have to put one from each team, but the wild card factor should probably be done differently. Maybe 8 groups instead of 4 would work.

This is the 4th time I've done these series polls (done annually) and only the second where a final round took place after the regular series results.

The first round you asked for the best, your favorite, or the one you hate the least (something like that) i thought? These choices are strange and I picked my teams and the Patriots.

I changed that after the very first one because you pointed out how it didn't make much sense, but I can't tell people how to vote. I'm really asking for the most winning rather than popular.

Then I probably have distorted those numbers. My fault.

1 homer pick plus chose best/biggest sports "brands" by region. Kinda took everything into consideration (not just wins & losses) like if I were Forbes.

In this poll... I'm sure most people will pick their state's representative if applicable. There is no accurate way to determine the results or if they're based on bias or winning.

I tried to go with the most famous teams.

I was totally biased and I played favorites in my picks and completely did not select teams I dislike. Who the heck doesn't do that?

I, obviously, voted based on the most success each team had in each group.  This was difficult as I had to vote for teams that I don't necessarily like and did NOT vote on my hometown teams.

same here, it killed me to pick a Cali team over AZ, but I do like the Kings. They were my first hockey team before the Jets moved here.

YEP!  Ya think I wanted to choose the DETROIT RED WINGS over the BULLS or BLACKHAWKS?!?!

But, gotta give respect where respect is deserved!  Now, it it was the 90's, the BULLS would of been my choice.

the Bulls were the #1 NBA team last year, Detroit wasn't #1 in hockey.

Toughest pick was in the Great Lakes with the Bulls, Red Wings and Packers.

Cardinals were a homer pick, other two divisions were selected solely on amount of championships won
