Medium Raw...MY bloody valentine to the Q
I'm almost finished reading Medium Raw by Anthony Bourdain.  We all know I've got a crazy-ass man crush on him.  His bloody valentine was sent to the world of food and to people who cook.  My bloody valentine is sent to YOU, the people of the Q.

IDK if I'm happier that it just stormed like a motherf**ker here, or that it's 69 degrees outside.

As a foodie, I appreciate the dedication it takes for a multi-hour food-a-thon.
Wear stretchy pants, Mr. Bourdain.  Sorry ... like you didn't know.

(Raining hard here now ... took my satellite offline for a bit.)

I'm bored and super-worried about my cat, Fergie.  She's been sneezing for three days, and today, she's barely come out from under the bed.  Luckily, my vet is open tomorrow.  Not so lucky is the fact that I just had her at the vet last week.

BTW, Louisville softball on ESPN.  Big East Championship at Ulmer Field here in town.  We're down 1-0, bottom of the 4th, but looking to make a comeback now.

The announcer said..."Second time today that Kristen Austin has nailed a player at the plate."  That's hot.

So I'm watching The Babysitter. Why? Cuz its a fee Saturday and I have Netflix.  But anyway.. the thought of a high school girl being a pimp is kind of hilarious.

Also my neighbors are having angry sex again.

I prefer Bourdain to Adam Richman, although Adam used to live in Louisville and recently shot some footage here for one of his shows.

Dear Boston Bruins, please continue to play crappy hockey so the Lightning can continue to rape you throughout this series.  Thank you!

Watching Freakonomics now.  Best part of Netflix is all the documentaries.
#10 | 1221 days ago

Is this the random thread, because if it is....

The 95th running of the Indianapolis 500, its centennial celebration, is in 15 days (for another 5 minutes, at least). Cars were on track today for the first time, and Ed Carpenter was the fastest for Sarah Fisher Racing. If things are that surprising all month, it's gonna be awesome.

As much as I don't want to, I'm rooting for Tampa in the East Finals, because I just can't root for Boston.

I'd ask how the doc is, but I'm a bad nerd. I haven't even read the book yet.

Damn you Christi! Now I want to read Medium Raw even more. So do I stop reading the current book I am reading(Where Men Win Glory, by Jon Krakauer) and start reading Medium Raw? Or do I just finish the book I am working on?

Also Bourdain could tell a story about watching paint dry and make it funny and interesting. Richman could bore me to sleep commenting on a football game.

I, unfortunately, have not read the book either.  The documentary is fascinating though so I'm tempted now to go out and get the book.

Great profile pic, btw.

I just checked out The Nasty Bits and the No Reservations book.  I just can't get enough of this man right now.  I'm also 8th on the list for Kitchen Confidential.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Any self-described pork slut has to be good people.  And you'll enjoy Medium Raw.
