Does security search fans upon entry at MLB games?
I'm going to a baseball game tonight and planning on sneaking in a metal flask of liquor. I can't remember if they usually search pockets or use metal detectors before hand, I know they check purses. At the NBA and NFL I usually don't have a problem getting in.
Any known info based on experience would be greatly appreciated, thanks Does security search fans upon entry at MLB games? Photo

I've been to NFL, NBA and NHL games down here and they did for those events. Why do you have a metal flask? why not just go with the crappy plastic ones at the liquor store? Plus you won't feel bad about losing it when you are good drunk and throw it at the Mascot.

Couldn't you have called the stadium or PM someone that has been to a game?

I have a belt bag I use for all my stuff (Holds my wallet, a couple sets of keys, various other junk.)   It has a pocket on the back that is not visible.  If I am someplace that doesn't allow cell phone (certain movie pre-screenings) I keep my phone in that pocket.

I usually do get the bag searched, but approaching them, I have the other pockets open showing my wallet and other stuff.  They don't even see the other pocket, and I've never been wanded like that photo.  (Well, a couple of times, but they've already seen my keys which would set the darn thing off.)

If I call them beforehand, it will look suspicious and they may ask me for ticket info.

If I PM somebody, I won't get a quick enough response most likely. I'm leaving very soon. I'm sure most of the people here have been to a game before.

Ummm...You can always hang up before giving them info.

And was this poll helpful? Did you get a good response yet?

Ha, your team is the opponent, they should both put up a good performance but based on yesterday's game, I think the Padres will probably win this one also.

Kinda. Thanks Odd & Clown

I'm just gonna walk up and try to get a good look first. If I see others being waved or patted down, I'll return to my car.

The games I've been to in Seattle and San Fran, my bag has always been searched and they have metal detectors. I can't remember if they had a li'l wand or not.

And why the hell do you think you need to worry about it? You don't need to pack heat everywhere, Kenne.
Yes they do

I attend minor league games, and there is no searching, but I usually leave that sh*t in the truck.

Belt Bag???

I think you meant fanny-pack.

It is what it is, but I rarely wear it on my fanny.

(Might help, though, I'm kinda lacking on that end.)

Well, it looks like somebody had a good time at the game, as the Diamondbacks beat my Padres 6-1.  (With or without the flask.)

I have no clue, but if they want to search my purse...good luck with that.

The problem with those plastic bottles is the neck is too long and they stick out of the pockets.

I had no problem getting into the game without being searched, but I did puke up my hot dog in front of everybody right away from drinking too much liquor. I tried to blame it on the hot dog.
